Rule #2: Pose it on a surface; don't just hold it in your hand, limbs akimbo.
Rule #3: Learn how to use a camera and take a decent photo.

Why surprised? It's a great color combination! My favorite pair of sneakers is a pair of dark green New Balance running shoes with orange details.

This is typical Modus Operandi for small TF sites such as KO TOYS, which really isn't a TF site its a TF wanna be site. They give you one really bad, crappy looking initial picture to "follow up" with "more clear images" of said Transformer.
Without these, no one would ever go to their sites.

It is don't worry. The hips and shoulders are both wrong and the hand held position doesn't help. Plus, no sword? The hell!

Eh, yeah. This is cool. I am all for 'skinny' Transformers. Make them too bulky and they look obese (I stare at you, Bulkhead!), and make them a little less bulky and they look only slightly fat (I've got a thousand neon arrows pointed at Energon Optimus ). However, I think they proportioned G1 Optimus Prime greatly, Movie Bumblebee is very slick, and this is near perfect!
I will get it, though.

The photo isn't the best so that's definitely not how Bludgeon looks properly transformed and looked at from a decent angle. I still dig the design and colour scheme. Green and orange are a natural pairing, they're secondary colours and have a similar visual relationship as primary colours have.

I'm sure KO toys will have a full photogallery as soon as they receive the figure just like they always do.

The picture sucks, because some regular joe in a factory grabbed one of the product, snapped a picture with his phone camera, and collected his $25 from the news site.

That photo is worth $25?

Nah, the toy is worth $25. He took the pic to tell KOToys "I got this fig, have my money ready"

Because they're milking Paramount's production money for all its worth, before they have to part ways and have to produce the next line of TFs all on Hasbro's dime, while appealing to some of us that don't particularly like the ROTF designs (like myself)

Is that what Hasbro's doing, lol marketing techniques are pretty evil.

Another example: Armada Megatron. That's not a bad blend of those two colors either.
I'm going to wait for a properly photographed and posed pic to decide for sure, but I'll probably get it.

After a while you'll get use to the fact that, what's on the back of the box/card is too good to be true.

Anyone ever wonder why the Sword Wielding Master is named Bludgeon (To hit with or as if with a heavy club)?

Is that why a relatively obscure character like Bludgeon gets a Voyager tank alt mode while Classics Galvatron got stuck with Deluxe due to too many Voyager tanks? That being said, if this fits into the Classics aesthetic, I am so getting it.
Posted by Convotron on September 17th, 2009 @ 2:49am CDT
I'm a firm believer that Galvatron didn't deserve to be stuck in Deluxe but at least he has had more opportunities in the various toylines for representation.
It's about time that Bludgeon gets what I think is a proper mold.

Quick, rescue him from the evil factory workers This guy has some pretty pointy edges to have an alt tank mode.

Well, it's a countermeasure for the possible situation in which opponents will run up to Bludgeon in alt mode and try to smother him with hugs. Because, well, look at Bludgeon. He's obviously extremely cuddly and a magnet for warm fuzzy snuggly huggles.

I think most people who know of G1 Bludgeon know of the kabuto styled helmet. It's just that the toy in the photo looks like it has a cowboy hat.

Hah.
You know, for some people, knowing isn't even *half* the battle, based on some video clips I've watched on RubeTube recently. I'd say *not knowing* is *all* of the hostile confrontation for some folks.
