Just in case people missed my post about it above since some people only look at the news post and not the thread.

Canopy reminds me of one of the creatures from The Dark Crystal.

Obviously Canopy became the long haul reuse since well you know but I personally like both.

This is Daytrader aka Steve Buscemi before they threw a beard on this face, gave him a hat and called it a day no seriously look closely to this show of him from a spot and the face shares the base design as this one.

Yeah, the animation style of the movie wouldn't/doesn't work well with traditional unbroken shapes and panels.

I don't get why "Daytrader" or the Junk bot wasn't Wreck-Gar. It would have been an appropriate name reuse. Oh well ... hopefully a new direction is just beyond the horizon with the live action film franchise.

My guess, based on Daytrader's concept art, is that they wanted to basically make him be "Steve Buscemi as a Transformer" as a start, but then only added all the excess junk once he ended up being a modified reuse of Hound's robot mode CG model. If that's how it was for him, then Daytrader was meant to be "Daytrader" from the get-go, with the junk being added in later making him similar to Wreck-Gar in only a superficial manner. At least, that's just my theory.

But... Daytrader doesn't even use Hound's body like at all it's not a Long Haul to Onslaught/Canopy(Who reuses a modified Jolt head so not even Canopy's head is original) thier just both "chunky" with beards and Daytrader's beard is only put on top of that concept head design.

No I'm not joking that head design is in the film but just like how Hound has this face without the beard.

Good news for those of you who have been asking! The Steve Jablonsky score for Transformers: The Last Knight will see light of day in CD format, courtesy of La La Land Records - who have put up a listing for the album limited to 3000 items, unfortunately, here - though more may come in a regular edition too. Check out track listing, pricing and more below.

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT: LIMITED EDITION (2-CD SET) — LLLCD 1432

STARTS SHIPPING JULY 25
LIMITED EDITION OF 3000 UNITS

La-La Land Records and Paramount Pictures present the limited edition 2-CD SET of acclaimed composer Steve Jablonsky’s (TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, ENDER’S GAME) original motion picture score to the big-screen blockbuster TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT, starring Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel and Anthony Hopkins, and directed by Michael Bay.

Jablonsky and TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT director Michael Bay continue an exciting, longstanding collaboration that has forged numerous cinematic blockbusters, including the previous four TRANSFORMERS films.

“I met with Michael before he started shooting Transformers: The Last Knight,” recalled Jablonsky. “He showed me some amazing concept art and explained how the story connects the history of Transformers all the way back to the times of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. I loved the idea because it gave me the opportunity to explore new musical ideas… The storyline allowed me to write melodies that are a bit more “classical” than I’ve written for the other Transformers films, which was a lot of fun for me.”

Produced by the composer and mastered by Patricia Sullivan at Bernie Grundman Mastering, this special limited edition CD release of 3000 units will thrill film music fans with an exhilarating musical experience!
