*looks in her Crystal Call*
I see a lot of hate in this figure's future...

So, wait, is this the first time a convention exclusive has ever been a completely new mold figure from Hasbro? (Oilmaster's shell was an accessory, and was made by Boss Fight Studios)

Licensed by Hasbro, not made by Hasbro or any affiliate like FunPub. ORITOY is the manufacturer, which makes sense given Hasbro's penchant for outsourcing products only big fans will likely buy.

Ah, so it's a similar case to Oilmaster's shell, then.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:So, wait, is this the first time a convention exclusive has ever been a completely new mold figure from Hasbro? (Oilmaster's shell was an accessory, and was made by Boss Fight Studios)

Yup. Basically when a company has no experience in a certain field or finds the development of a certain product to risky, outsourcing part of it to a different company with more experience in that field is the way to go. Hasbro has plenty of experience in Toys, but for fan-oriented products they turn to companies like FunPub and other manufacturers of such items to mitigate the risk. I do wonder if it was commissioned by Hasbro, or if ORITOY presented the design and asked Hasbro for the license.

He's got the right proportions to be Gurren Lagann...which works super well for GL, but somewhat less so for Prime. Also, I'm not sure about that head scuplt, a good close up would help.

That figure looks pretty boss... I'm always impressed by strong poseability. It doesn't seem any 'puffier' than the Revoltech figures, and most folks were over the moon about those.

Am I the only one who is even more impressed than MP 10 after seeing this? They both look to have as sleek a figure with great articulation. Except one fully transforms.
