Our own Salazaar has informed of some reviews for some Transformers Movie products. Dbec1 of TFW2005 has purchased many of the movie related children's books. Dbec1 has posted small reviews of each book along with scans of the covers and some of the inside pages. Be careful, these books contain a lot of spoilers! Click here to check it out.

I want the storybook. wounder is walmart would have it?
And for the brother thing, They could be brothers if they were made by the same being at the same time. I guess thats how a machine could have a brother. And if they are brothers then thats just stupid and the writers should be slapped in the back of the head for there idiotic idea.

Apex Convoy wrote:It isn't for sure that they're still brothers. These are more than likely based on the early draft, while the prequel comic, which is probably based on a later draft, has Prime and Megatron ruling Cybertron together. All I can say is that I don't know how, if they decide to make them brothers, that's going to be explained, because robots can't really have "relatives".

Wishful thinking. So is it vindication that after the script leaked and everyone involved said that draft sucked and they shoot that script...? Either way. Sad face 5000 :(

Op and Megs still brothers eh?... Well now we know that they both came from the same ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
Transformers can have brothers, weren't Sideswipe and Sunstreaker twin brothers or something?

Well, that clinches it. The script that I read way over a year ago is the leaked movie, minus a few lines here and there. Which means that "X" is still going to get killed off at the end (if you read it, you know who).

I've never been a big fan of the "brother" aspect of Transformers, it smacks too much of biology.

I'd hate to see Prime having the explain all this to Magnus. "Er... Ultra Magnus... I just found out some disturbing news. It seems that Megatron is... our brother..."

"I can't deal with that now!"

Looking at the scans, this has confirmed my biggest fear...

No stock renders of Brawl or Bonecrusher, all the ones in the book are the ones we've seen already, no sign of any for Brawl or Bonecrusher...

O_O What kind of nonsense is this?

Prime and Megs being brothers adds realism and a point of reference for the general viewing public. This is an easy way of making us relate to Optimus' rivalry and makes us sympathise with the monstrous Megatron. And it explains why Prime can't destroy Megatron and has to have X kill him with Y while Z looks on in stunned disbelief.

I don't see that as being all that more realistic. If anything it makes the moral dilema too easy if they're brothers. It would be a much more powerful dramatic statement on Prime's morality if he still couldn't bring himself to kill his murderous rival (sans fraternal relationship). This latter version is in effect the Optimus Prime that we all know well.

also there was Mach Alert/Prowl, Speedbreaker/Sideburn and Wildride/X-brawn from Car robots/RiD the car brothers... then again they probably have all the common relation of the average Dudley Boy...

and Prime describing the details of the movie to Ultra Magnus would be reminecent of the Robot Chicken StarWars bit where Vader continues to explain after the "I am your father... and I built C3p0 as well" "Luke "oh jeez if your not even going to try I'm outta here"

Yes the books are out already. And based on what I've read it seems like the movie is part Terminator, part space aliens attack earth, part a boy and his talking car. I suspect this movie wont be liked for the story and or acting, but people will love the cgi explosions and action scenes.
