Honestly no idea if there ever was a set, but this lego set really does a good job of duplicating it. It's a 4 pack available at walmart and such too, so it's readily available to find

This is a sexy beast. Might be the best set of tooling for an Optimus Prime figure too, it is fantastic, and the accessories and paint work is fantastic!

If ever I bought another of that mould, it would be this one. The Ghost Busters colour scheme works like a damned dream!

And is that a Pickle Brainstorm drawn in the background. He IS mad scientist enough I reckon!

4 of my 6 Ghostbusters dudes arrived today, which enabled me to finally pair up some movie accurate ghostbusters figures with the ecto-bots! They look quite good together

New packaging photo, looks pretty bad buy that could just be because ectotrons robot mode is a bit pants. Hasbros packaging has been pretty good so dunno why this looks off

Fellow Seibertron D-Maximus Primal has sent us some images of the new Ectotron figure with comparisons to the old figure and other crossover figures. He also described the main differences for us and gave a quick review:

You have a brand new and very stylish head sculpt, complete with a faceplate and some nice goggles. It's really nice, better than the original.

There is also retooling done to the legs. The ladder switched sides, and there are new molded bits to accommodate the switch while removing the ladder mounts on the original side.

The deco is inspired by the upcoming Ghostbusters Afterlife film, which was originally coming out last summer but was pushed a year. It's highly anticipated. The new Ectotron features a dirtier white, along the lines of the Star Wars Black Series Remnant Stormtrooper colors, as well as decent rust paint, cracked logos, and even a new logo and rear license plate deco.

It comes with an unpainted Slimer like the original, but also includes a new blue ghost from the upcoming movie.

Overall, it's a very nice new take on Eck. I would say the head outshines the original. And while the rust paint apps could use work, it does have a nice worm feel to it.

I'd recommend it to anyone with an interest in Ghostbusters, and even someone who has the original Ectotron. It's a good mold, and I really enjoy both takes on Eck that we've gotten.

Having him in hand, he is a really nice figure. I would recommend him to anyone who is interested and likes Ghostbusters. The new head sculpt is really cool!

Just picked mine up from Target in St. Charles, Illinois. I had to ask for him as they were still in the back. They had a couple left according to the sales associate. Looks great.

Freaking Ectotron is Awesome! Made my weekly run and saw him on the shelf in a Target. Not sure if it was intentional but they placed the Ghostbusters next to the Transformers and Ectotron got a retail crossover as well :lol:

You will pay 30$US. That's CHEAPER than regular voyager price for here. Hell, that's DELUXE priced (or cheaper even than deluxe price). Consider yourself privileged.

Oh he is very worth it. Ectotron remains my favorite of the crossover figures, he is a lot of fun. The proton pack alone is wonderful and the way it works is great. I love both versions

finally got my Ghostbusters set back up at last, and the group, including the Ectotrons, Prime, and ghostscream, all look great. this is one of my favorite little collections
