New Gallery: Transformers Collaborative Universal Monsters Frankenstein x FRANKENTRON

Posted by Seibertron Oct 30, 2025 at 10:19am CDT 7,857 views
It's alive! Seibertron.com adds another mash-up to our Transformers Collaborative galleries with Frankentron - a monstrous combination of Transformers and Universal's classic Frankenstein.

The worlds of Transformers robots and Universal Monsters collide in the Universal Monsters Frankenstein x Transformers Frankentron mash-up. This Deluxe-class figure is a retool of Siege Impactor, converting from movie-inspired robot mode to a Cybertronian tank. In place of Impactor's turret cannon, Frankentron wields a large Tesla coil that can plug into his vehicle mode turret to form a lightning weapon. He also includes a purple lightning effect piece that attaches to the coil's end.

Designed by Brian Parrish (Hasbro) with concept art by Emiliano Santalucia, the figure's sculpt draws directly from the 1931 Frankenstein film, featuring the monster's flat-topped head, neck bolts, and retooled hands that mimic his classic outstretched pose. The chest and thigh retooling emphasize the stitched-together, asymmetrical look worthy of Dr. Frankenstein's creation.

Even the packaging plays along: the box resembles a VHS case with a slide-out tape tray, and the inner label written in Ancient Autobot translates to "Its alive."

Frankentron was released in 2023 and is currently available on Amazon.com.

You had fun with this one!

They really need to make a wolfman. You can't just make two monsters. There has to be a minimum of three.

I'd like to see Weirdwolf used for the Wolfgang, or Fangry even better!

I keep thinking they need something aquatic for Creature from thr Black Lagoon. Maybe Seaspray? Doesn't seem like the right robot mode body though since it should be lengthy and monster like with webbed hands.

The invisible man would be fun!

You KNOW the Invisible Man would be made entirely of clear plastic, though. That's a ticking time bomb. What would be the alt mode?

Creature is tough. Maybe from Crimsonflame? Turn the dragon hands into fins and rework the head and you got yourself a sea serpent.

For personal reasons I want to see the Phantom of the Opera. T30 Megatron would be ideal because I think a stealth bomber would work well.

We got Quintus now for the Creature, and the Invisible man, can be just any car really.

All he needs is a trench coat soooo Studio Series Crosswise. Even has the goggles already.

Alot of effort went into coming up with the name Frankentron. Frank for short. >:oP

Don't bring up names unless you want to talk about the Jurassic Park collabs. I actually like them, but the names are terrible. JP93, JP12, Tyrannocon Rex. and Dilophocon. Just ... awful. The Naruto collabs don't even pretend to have TF names. I like them too, but it's like the oldstyle ones in a bad way.

Happy Halloween from Seibertron.com! Just in time for the spookiest night of the year, our latest addition to the Transformers Collaborative galleries sinks its fangs into the lineup with Draculus!

The ninth figure released in the Collaborative line, Draculus is a retool of Titans Return Mindwipe and transforms into a robotic bat. This mash-up brings Universal’s 1931 Dracula to life through a sculpt that specifically captures Bela Lugosi’s iconic portrayal of the Count. His robot mode features a sculpted tuxedo, a soft-goods cape, and a black-and-white deco inspired by the classic black-and-white film.

Draculus includes a blaster, his "Impaler Claw" weapon, and a removable cloth cape that can be worn in both robot and bat modes. His new head and torso replace the Headmaster-style transformation of the original toy, so his head stays attached during transformation. The cockpit from Mindwipe remains, but the interior is remolded and no longer fits a Titan Master figure. His weapons can still combine, and they can attach as a tail in bat mode when pegged into the 5mm port under his head.

In true Collaborative fashion, even the packaging gets a horror twist. The box is designed to look like a VHS tape, complete with a slide-out sleeve that reveals the figure and insert artwork styled after an old video release.

Draculus was released in late 2021 and remains a fan-favorite among crossover collectors. You can find listings for him currently on eBay.

Be sure to check out Frankentron and our other Transformers Collaborative galleries for more unexpected mash-ups where worlds collide.

I still haven't gotten around to opening mine, and had no idea he could look that awesome loose. Great gallery!

Still, while I understand that leaving the Headmaster gimmick in would've posed too many questions that the X-over line didn't need, removing it seems like time, effort, and cost expended to de-mold a toy into something less awesome than it could've been (nowhere near as egregious as the de-limbification of Siege Chromia, but it still irks me). Because you could customize Titan-Masters with faces representing different actors that have played Dracula, unlocking limitless possibilities: Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee, Frank Langela (Shapeways has a Skeletor faceplate that could do double duty for him), hell, even a Count Floyd, to give him the vampire-howl ability!

Speaking of horror hosts, a Svengoolie fan even sent a Draculus in to his show, for a MeTV X-over!

Draculus was great. But WAY too pricy. They learned their lesson from Frankentron, but I worry that it didn't do well enough.

I think they shoulda left the Headmaster gimmick in there too. It has a coffin built in! Come on! It could have been literally Dracula!

I feel like there could have been a comparison with Convoybat. If Seibs has him. Could have had a fight scene with CB acting as Van Helsing. Technically, the early BW stuff is bioengeneering on the G1 OP and Megs so the lab setup could have been used for Crocodile Megatron and OP now that I think on it, but I don't remember if they made a new version of him to match.

They're back to bust some ghosts, Cybertron-style! Seibertron.com proudly unveils our latest Transformers Collaborative gallery - the 2021 edition of Ectotron, inspired by the Ghostbusters: Afterlife film!

The crossover between Cybertron and the supernatural continues with this redeco and slight retool of the original figure, now featuring a movie-inspired aged and rusted Ecto-1 design from Ghostbusters: Afterlife. This updated version gives the Autobot ghostbuster a more seasoned look with cracked Ghostbusters logos and plenty of paranormal wear and tear.

While the first Ectotron was released in 2019 as part of the debut Transformers Collaborative lineup, this later version adjusts several details to better reflect the on-screen vehicle. The car's roof ladder has been moved to the left side, and the robot mode debuts a new head sculpt with lowered goggles and a raised face shield. He still transforms into a licensed 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor ambulance, and his proton pack continues to form from the roof-mounted equipment. The figure also includes an unpainted translucent green Slimer figurine - identical to the one packed with the 2019 figure - and introduces a new ghostly partner, Muncher, molded in translucent blue plastic.

Ectotron was first offered as a Target exclusive in the United States, going up for preorder on November 13, 2020, before later appearing as a Toyworld exclusive in New Zealand. This release also includes a reprint of Transformers/Ghostbusters #1 and swaps the original boxed format for a blister card. Designed by Hasbro's John Warden, the 2021 Ectotron keeps the spirit of the Collaborative line alive by blending the technology of Transformers with the humor and hauntings of Ghostbusters.

You can explore the full Ectotron (2021) gallery, along with Muncher and Slimer. Fans can also revisit the original Ectotron (2019) release, still available on Amazon, or check out the SDCC 2019 exclusive MP-10G Optimus Prime Ecto-35 Edition and his premium-painted Slimer.

This gallery wraps up our Halloween weekend celebration of Transformers Collaborative releases, following Frankentron and Draculus. From ghost traps to proton packs, these spooky crossovers prove that even in the afterlife, there's still more than meets the eye.

In addition, I updated Gigawatt's gallery to include his iconic pose that I originally forgot to do as well as comparison pictures with G1 Swindler (the first Transformer with a DeLorean alt-mode ... I always thought it was a Fiero).

Transformers Collaborative Stranger Things Code Red Delivers a Slice of 80s Nostalgia for Stranger Things Day!

November 6 marks Stranger Things Day, the annual celebration of the hit Netflix series that commemorates the date of Will Byers' disappearance in 1983 and the beginning of the show's supernatural events in Hawkins, Indiana. To mark the occasion, Hasbro recently revealed the Transformers x Stranger Things Collaborative Freakwency and 8-Trax set earlier today, and we're following it up today with a look back at the Stranger Things crossover that started it all - Code Red!

Originally unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, Code Red merges two icons of the 1980s: the world of Stranger Things and the legendary Transformers. Code Red is currently available for purchase on Amazon.com.

Code Red transforms from robot mode into an officially licensed Volkswagen Vanagon modeled after the Surfer Boy Pizza delivery van from the Netflix series. Despite the compact vehicle mode, he unfolds into a Voyager-Class-sized Autobot guardian ready to protect Hawkins from the Upside Down.

This collaborative figure includes an axe, spiked bat, detachable Surfer Boy Pizza roof light that converts into a blaster, a pizza box accessory, and a Fire Blast effect. The axe and bat can connect into a two-ended weapon, while the blast effect and 5 mm ports allow for multiple display options in both modes.

Code Red's packaging is modeled after a real Surfer Boy Pizza box, complete with clever details such as fake grease stains, Ancient Autobot writing, and printed Easter eggs referencing the Hellfire Club, the Demogorgon, and other elements from the show.

To see all of these fun details, view the full Transformers Collaborative Code Red gallery by clicking any of the images below. While you're at it, make sure to check out our other recent Transformers Collaborative galleries including Draculus, Frankentron, Ectotron, and the new Sonic the Hedgehog crossover figures from the same line.

To get fans even more excited for the world of Hawkins, Netflix also dropped the official Stranger Things Season 5 teaser - watch it below!

Wow, you had a lot of fun with this one! I do like it when there's a more fun element with the galleries.

I always thought Code Red started out as an Earthrise Ironhide partial that Ship of Thesiused it's way to becoming a full-on original mold. Just look at that back. It really resembles IH's shield and winds up as the hood. And the feet bear some similarities, still. Wish I had my copy with me. I always forget to really compare them.
