New In Box Images of ROTF Voyager Bludgeon

Thanks to TF08.net, we have our first in packages images of Revenge of the Fallen Voyager Class Bludgeon. This highly anticipated figure also has a pretty impressive bio that explains why there are two different Bludgeon figures in the same line and why Jungle Ironhide may come to be. This is also the first time we get to see the new Nest Global Alliance logo that will no doubt be on every box in the coming waves much like Allspark Power packaging from the '07 line.

DECEPTICON BLUDGEON was nearly destroyed by a fight with the Metallikato master Autobot Whirl. Forced to retreat and hide, he scanned a new vehicle mode and disappeared into the Southeast Asian jungle. He is desperate to prove himself against an AUTOBOT, however, so he has caused just enough chaos locally to attract the attention of IRONHIDE. Now he lies in wait for the AUTOBOT, ready to spring his trap and destroy his victim in an instant.

That's cool! So now I must get JA Ironhide and Voyager Bludgeon...

I wonder if the figure will have good light piping. Lord knows it has big ol' red eyes. I hope they'll light up real good.

I am honestly impressed, Hasbro. Not only have you produced a badass new version of a character we've been waiting to resurface, but you actually paid attention to explain why there's been two figures with the same name AND tie it in with another new figure coming out? Well played, well played indeed.

Totally badass! and again good job hasbro on explaining from the old trans scan to the new one and how Bludgeon and ironhide meets! and by the way, i thought Bludgeon was suppose to be a badass decepticon? i can see good ol Bludgeon getting his butt kicked my Megs, but not by Whirl!! come on....I see Bludgeon kicking Whirl rotor tail from one end to the other, but thats me.. Now Bludgeon up against ol Ironhide well..........

And when shall we see Bludgeon on the shelves? December maybe????

Looks sweet, will definitely buy.
The only bummer is that I can already tell by the turret mounted machine gun that all the guns and swords are made from what I like to refer to as "Bandai Putty", that soft, bendy, flexy plastic that droops from its own weight and never returns to its straight position unless you boil it. A small flaw in an otherwise wicked looking figure.

Anyone notice how a lot of these new ROTF toys Hasbro's cranking out look closer to their G1 namesakes?

Love the connection between this and the Wreckleon (what I'm calling the Wreckage repaint) figure, but am I really the only one who finds this thing as fugly as the day is long?

Not that I wasn't planning on buying him, but this really cements it. I'm genuinely impressed with the thought Hasbro put into his bio.

A bunch of people deserve a god-damn raises for this.
