New info on features for Transformers Masterpiece MP-41 Dinobot

The full reveal for the upcoming Transformers Masterpiece Beast Wars Dinobot is right around the corner. While waiting, we have been privy to a possible price point and now we have information regarding all the features he will come with, such as accessories and electronics. What you will find below is an interpretation of a Chinese language post written on TFND's Facebook page.

  • Fully poseable raptor mode
  • Beast mode eyes can be changed
  • Sculpted scales under a layer of printed texture all through the beast mode body
  • Robot mode is bigger and broader than Optimus Primal
  • Hand can hold both weapons in his hands
  • The tail shield spins
  • Has two extra faces, where one is smiling and one is roaring (probably angry)
  • Will have two different coloured eye pieces, to be used with a light up feature (to replicate the lazer beams)
  • He will also come with a gold disk accessory and a base that can be used in both modes

What was I saying about laser eyes and spinning tail weapon before? At least we know where the money is going to now, but I could really do without the electronics.

'memba when the Inferno mold was released? Same with IH etc. The intial SRP was waaaaaaaay out of there! Especially the local based importers. When the actual fig got PO'd, the prices went down. END. :-$

Sounds great! Still doesn't sound like proper, sound, justification for that particular price point. I know it's bigger than Primal, but WAAAAAY smaller than Magnus - even considering all these other features - and does not justify that price.

But like Magnus (and Inferno, apparently?) the price will probably go down.

Unfortunately, I am sick, and will get this no matter what. I just... Won't preorder it.

It sounds like they're going all-out with Dinobot, which is great news and goes a way to justifying the price.

If I'm going to spend that much money on a Transformers product, I'd rather do the $300+ for the BW Megatron statue with the Dinobot head on it.

I suspect the price will go down a lot more.
I'm putting my preorder with HLJ as usual, and i'm not expecting preorders from them until he's been revealed in Figure King.

Thanks! I really like how every retailer is using the (illegally reproduced?) photographs from the Tokyo Toy Show pamphlet.

Seriously though, from what I understand, we will be getting a full reveal in a week's time. Keep your eyes peeled.
