Looking forward to completing the Insecticon trio. Just the one version for me, thanks. I went out and got multiples of the Legends to be drones earlier. TBH, purple chest looks better with them so it works out for me, but I'd have gotten grey chest if that had come out first.
Vector Prime is tempting. I recall the old one was pretty good.

Something about that shade of purple on Bombshell just looks way too bright.
And, even though it's accurate, something about all that gray and silver makes the robot head look unfinished in its paint deco.

Weird Question:
Why does the legacy toyline already have more toyfigures in it then the Transformers prime toyline had, even though the prime toyline came with a succesfull tv-series, while legacy mostly seems to be a random assortement of figures without a specific medium to promote them?

Easy.
The "medias (with an S) to promote them" exist since at the very least 40 years. The toys are from G1, Prime, all the RiD, Beast Wars, IDW, Armada, and more.
Legacy is the ultimate love letter to the fans who love ALL of Transformers since they began.

Plus, Legacy isn't the media tie-in line, it's the mainline. Better comparisons would be Prime to Earthspark, and Legacy to Thrilling 30

It doesn't. Prime had over 110 figures in it's retail line (including Beast Hunters, excluding First Edition and exclusives) while Legacy is currently at 70-ish (excluding exclusives). 2024 will probably surpass Prime, though it may be a three wave line so they can do something new in 2025.

I was afraid they were going to retool Shrapnel into Bombshell and go lazy like they did with Wild Rider and Breakdown. The upper body works for the most part, but the lower body - not so much. It still looks like they jammed Bombshell's top half into Shrapnel's lower half. Sure I'll get it to complete the trio. But it's still disappointing that they refused to honor Bombshell by giving him an original mold, and instead made him Shrapnel's sloppy-seconds.
The head sculpt looks nice, and at least they gave him decent forelegs for the insect mode (though the partsforming rear legs are another disappointment). The original Bombshell's abdomen had always been sleeker and rounded, so it's jarring now to see it all boxy and angular. It looks like it's a mostly finished piece of work, so there's little hope that they'll fix him by making the back section rounder. If they were going to remold the entire upper half, why not remold the legs while they were at it, to help complete the make-over? I guess they were too busy making original molds for the Core Dinobots to devote much time to poor Bombshell.

Hoping Hasbro gets to finishing rest of the Deluxe Insecticons, happy with my little ones enough to avoid Legacys.

So if we're getting an Armada Galvatron repaint that means we're all but guaranteed to get a Powerlinx Prime repaint as well, right?

Not necessarily. Only one Commander class toy has ever gotten a redeco, and that was only as a Shattered Glass toy.I_AM... MEGATRON! wrote:So if we're getting an Armada Galvatron repaint that means we're all but guaranteed to get a Powerlinx Prime repaint as well, right?

They couldn't make the deluxe able to hide the robot head in insect mode? The legends was even able to do that.

I wonder if figures like Shadowstriker would be better received if they were marketed like the early Generations and Reveal The Shield lines: no ties to a specific continuity outside the united design. Honestly, it seems like most of the criticism, my own included, is because the whole "X Universe Character" creates expectations regarding the character's design which eventually fall flat because of the unified aesthetic. Even the better ones have a little something missing, like Animated Prowl being too bulky or RID2001 Scourge not having the right colors. Honestly, the only ones safe so far are the UT and BW figures.
Also, I really hope they redo Armada Starscream in the future; the fact he's the only Legacy Armada without Mini-Con compatibility really stands out.
So, about the leaked listings:
- I hope UT Megatron ends up going through the same Megatron/Galvatron cycle from each series. And dear Primus, I don't even know if I'm being sarcastic or not!
- Guess the Rock Lord Weaponizers are practically confirmed. Now here's wondering if they're straight-up turn-into-rocks Rock Lords, or if they try to pull a twist in the alt-mode to make them more interesting (like, say, being regular Transformers with vehicle and/or beast modes but a golem-like design instead of regular metal robots, or Modulators with temple-like base modes). But, if I may suggest an out-of-left-field possibility:

I mean, they were originally meant to be rock beings, already have designed alt-modes, and even their names still reference rocks (lithos or stone -> Lithone, granite -> Granix -> Kranix, marble -> Marblus(?) -> Arblus).

I noticed today that EE has pushed Breakdown and Dead End from June to September. I almost ordered those two last month then unexpectantly spotted Dead End on Amazon so planned to wait a bit on the other one until I could add more to the order. Now this lol.
I don't really know what I was expecting as they have pushed several listing the past few months, but I was wanting to get Breakdown to finally complete the Stunticons. Sure three months isn't al that bad but when you have other items you were also planning to get around that time form other lines it all adds up, and I don't like getting everything at once then having a severely long dry spell.
Plus what does that mean for the July, August shipments?

The red cockpit canopy on the chest and the silver horns above the yellow face are giving me King Atlas vibes, which I truly hope doesn't mean that Hasbro intends for this figure to also sort of double as King Atlas in addition to Dreadwing (in lieu of giving the king his own toy with his own proper deco) in the same way that the Skyquake toy doubles as both the G1 and Prime versions of him.

Not the shade of blue I was imagining, but he still looks decent. I do like the Skyquake mould and have been looking forward to Dreadwing. I'll definitely buy one when he's out.
Also, I got a shipping notice for my Armada Megatron pre-order, I'll have him by the end of this week, and I'm really excited to get my hands on him!

This mold has a similar issue that I have with other molds;
Between the length and the bulk of the torso, the legs are too short.
And I understand the bot mode has the jive with the alt mode and transformation.
But even if these proportions are accurate to the character model, it doesn’t work well for me.
