The BotCon 2007 Customizing class figure of Grimlock is to be repainted as a Transformer named Overkill, based off the original Decepticon cassette from 1987. GetterDragun notified Seibertron earlier this morning about this. GetterDragun attended the class earlier today. Hopefully we'll have pics soon.

Well, I guess he was really the only other G1 TF besides Trypticon that had an alternate mode vaguely similar to Grimlock's.

Well that's really not a bad idea. The color scheme will probably look pretty good.

Well at least that's one Botcon figure that we can do on cheap. I've got T Soundwave with my Classics though so Overkill probably won't fit in his chest! Haven't actually got a Grimlock yet so now I guess I'm after two. Just can't help myself with Classics.

So if we get a Classics Snarl in the future (Note, I said IF), we're gonna get Slugfest as well? That's cool. Maybe Squawktalk from Swoop.....I dunno people, I'm thinking & re-painting at the same time....................

Interesting way to keep the name under Hasbro's thumb.

Hmm. It's an idea. I've got one from Energon Cruellock... goes with my repainted Battle Ravage, Buzzsaw and Laserbeak (from Divebombs) and Rumble and Frenzy (Signal Flares).

So, do you think that was the weird colored version we saw on ebay a while back? I loved that cassette-bot so much. And his friend with the springy back!

This could be intresting. Grimlock was the last of the classics that I broke down and bought, a repaint would look cool.

Is this the figure being created in the customizing class, or an actual club exclusive?

The title and headline are very misleading since this isn't something being brought to market. Someone should probably fix that, since it's the custom class figure and from all the info I have read so far, it is molded in nearly if not eaxactly the same grey as Classics Grimlock.
