Third-party Dino-combiner on the Horizon?

Posted by El Duque Jun 26, 2011 at 1:10pm CDT 43,299 views
Some interesting images have been posted on the Chinese toy forum ACToys of what appears to be a third-party Dino-combiner set. Little is known about the set other than what is seen below. Note the other combiner set in the last image is a non-Transformer related item.

Wow, if those numbers are in centimetres, then this guy is gonna be HUGE!

I don't like the combined form, but the individual dinobots look awesome. At least... the ART does. From some of the technical pics, I fear the toys won't quite match the art.

Looks cool, I agree about needing to have them actual dinobot colors. They already released Brimstone in a dinobot color scheme which looks pretty cool next to WST dinobots. Hopefully it's like this since they share a similar appearance:

This is what happens when Transformers and Zoids have babies.

Well it's not like they're releasing these now, it's just the design process.

I for one am interested. I was checking the size on these and if those measurements are metric, these are in the voyager class size with Not-Grimlock being a little taller than Optimus. Not-Swoop is a little shorter and the tallest would be Not-Sludge. If the colors match up with he G1 scheme, put me down for the pre-order!

Yeah, but it still shows that they've been screwing around doing other stuff besides perfecting the one project that could potentially put them on the map.

I wouldn't care if we had already seen prototypes of all 6 Construcitons, but instead TFC keeps showing us everything except the last 2 Constructicons.

When FansProjects started working on City Commander, you didn't see them constantly working on other things. They might have released a couple of items here and there, but most of their focus was on City Commander. TFC has been focused lately on everything except the rest of Hercules.

The way I look at it is that all that time they spent on those CADs would have been better spent on finishing the Constructicons. If they want people to invest $600 into it, then we better start seeing more of it.

The Dinos look ok, if a bit "bony" in detail. I'd have to see actual pics, and have them coloured like G1 Dinobots for me to be too interested.

I don't think these will ever be the Dinobots to me. The Dinobots are too iconic to be done in this fashion.

However perhaps they would make a decent standin for TF:Victory Dinoforce...

Agreed. They won't be THE dinobots for me either but they have me interested nonetheless. Maybe new recruits Wheeljack created to help out Grimlock until Hasbro gets around to finishing the bunch.

I must've missed something: how do you know this is from TFClub?

Regardless of who they're from, I'm not interested. Not really a fan of the style. They're very Zoids, or semi-movie. Plus I've always liked to think that the Dinobots are powerful enough without combining. The other one looks a little 'meh'!

So how do you know the same design team working on Deva/Hercules is the same design team behind these other projects?

Is not like they have a single person designing everything.

Besides, they have to show us something to tide us over while those other figs get out of the factory

I don't see why they can't have more than one product in the design stages while still working on Devestator. Actually it makes me feel more confident about buying Exgraver. If they're planning more combiners it means they probably won't shut down production leaving me with just the one Constructicon.

I have no idea how big their team is, but logic is dictating that it's a pretty small team if we've yet to see the remaining 2 Constructicons while they keep cranking out other items.

It would be a different story if we had already seen images of all 6 Constructicons. For now, I'm going to stand by my argument of them needing to stop screwing around and get Devastator done.

I wouldn't be bothered by them showing off more stuff they are up to, if they were actually finishing and producing more than lame transforming guns and heads.

True, but these guys are giving iGear a run for their money.
