Was not generations and reveal the shield satisfying to you? (Tracks, Jazz, Thunderwing, etc.)
What about all the third party masterpieces like the Bruticus upgrade, targetmasters, and classics Rodimus upgrade?
What about the new images of masterpiece Rodimus?
and lets certainly not forget Transformers War for Cybertron
Now back on subject.....
Captain America!!!! woo hoo!!!!

You are allowed your opinion and I am not wanting to dimish what you said but I do disagree with you. Bad shows? Umm, Transformers Animated and the new Transformers Prime were actually pretty good. I look forward to watching Prime when it starts in February. Bad movies, ok, they will never win Best Picture but can you say they never delivered what they promised? Just because the movie wasn't that good doesn't change the fact that ROTF cleaned up at the box office. Someone must have liked it after all the fans went to see it. Just because all the DOTM toys that have been revealed suck (with the possible exception of the new Starscream) lets not forget Movie 1 and Movie 2 had some decent toys including Deluxe Wreckage, ROTF Leader Optimus Prime and Leader Starscream.
I'm all for a reboot to this franchise though, I don't even care if it is live action. To be honest, live action Transformers was a very bad idea. Animated movies have come along way and have lost their sterotypical kids only mentality.

"bad tf comics"
I hate the movie-verse too, but I got Generations Thunderwing the day before yesterday. Now I'm officially happy

Have to give you credit for having been the first. It was kind of a given that it was going to happen but you did have documentable proof. Here's one for you though...is it going to be the same "Lunar Landing" trailer or are we going to get a new one with Linkin Park providing new music? There has been speculation about one of the songs from their new "Thousand Suns" album being featured for the soundtrack but it's all just rumor at this point. The trailer is going to need something to hook a viewers attention and LP's music would make for a darn good hook.

Ok... so, they're called 'Transformers', right? So it can't be TOO bad to see a detailed version of these characters actually transforming. To me, that's what's so awesome about the live movies... along with the sounds associated with each character. I'm honestly kinda envious of the people who came up with the visual effects for the transformations in the live movies. I wish I was smart enough to have come up with something like that.

JK I always watch it...but this will help aid my pain if the Pittsburgh Squealers are in the game.
I had no doubts this would happen, and I'm really excited. I wonder if they'll do the Daytona 500 too. That's far-fetched, but more movie trailers have popped up there over the past four years or so.

They should!
DOTM has the 48, 88, & 42 cars in the movie as The Wreckers. (:

I think I remember that on the 18...
Strange to me that they advertised on 3 different cars on 3 different teams. They picked some of the best drivers tho, which was the point I think for the best representation.
Hopefully the 48, 88, & 42 will have a TF theme sometime during the season!

I'd love that since I'm sorta a NASCAR fan. =P Plus, Newman (39) is my favorite driver, so that was extra awesome.

I'm sure NASCAR would be thrilled. Since I work for a pro hockey team, our GM gets a magazine dedicated to sports management. The numbers for NASCAR are not good: advertising money is down by 67%, attendance is down 35%, viewership is down more than 50%. The rumor among sports professionals is that Fox may be on the verge of voiding their contracts with NASCAR due to moneys lost. It seems that NASCAR has "worn out their welcome" with the popular audience. It certainly doesn't help that the season is nearly 10 months long- longer by far than any other professional sport. It was a very interseting article about how they are trying to bring back their viewership...I have to wonder if this movie may be a part of it.

It also doesn't help that Speed chanel has about 10 different shows dedicated to the sport either. It sucks that during the Formula 1 racing series we only get 1 race every 2 to 3 weeks, and is ussualy shown at 5am on sunday with virtualy no re-airs. But nascar races are shown 4 times in one weekend with post race shows, after interview shows, then a discusion afterwards on why Dale jr. didn't pass on lap 1,245.

Oh, don't get me wrong, the visual effects for the movie are amazing. There were some awesome transformations too e.g. the first time the Autobots transform for Sam and Mikaela, Starscream doing his transformation and swinging on the dam. I also loved the battle with Optimus vs Megatron, Starscream and not-Blackout (the name escapes me right now) from ROTF. I just think that making them look real reduced the amount of screen time the bots could have thanks to the budget. An animated movie can have bots on the screen all the time.
I am hoping for to a big show down with Optimus vs Megatron vs Shockwave with this movie. I would even like it if Megs and Prime teamed up. This Megatron was corrupted by the Fallen after all. Now he is dead, Megs might get his senses back thanks to Shockwave and team up with his brother. Please give us some robot on robot action in the Superbowl spot.
Posted by onthePROWL on January 21st, 2011 @ 1:20pm CST

That's a really awesome idea about Optimus & Megatron… I didn't think about it that way!
The other day I got really excited about Shockwave being the main villain in DOTM, mainly b/c I've never really seen him in the Gen. 1 cartoon yet. Only when they go to commercial do they show him sometimes.
Thanks for the insight!

I'm banking on it being new. Why pay $3 million for a TV spot with the same footage that has been scene already? That would be foolish.

I doubt it. If linkin Park is going to do the main theme for DOTM like they have for the first and second movie, then chances are its going to be something new and fresh as they did for the first two films. No point in recirculating a song on the radio that has already been out for a year. So my bet is if they do the theme, it will be brand new.

The reason why NASCAR is losing its audience? One name says it all:
Jimmie Johnson.
And why is the remaining audience watching?
They're all still hoping for a Dale Jr. win.
And a lot of people don't get why people watch NASCAR. I would guess that us fans watch it because we like cars and like to watch them at each others' necks at 200mph.

I figured that they would want to go with something new as well as far as the preview but given Bay's penchant for editing up until the 11th hour, using the existing preview is the safe route to go.
As for the LP songs, since we haven't heard a thing about them in terms of working on TF3, and since their new album is, well, brand spanking new, they have obviously been devoting this last year to finalizing it and now they are about to kick off the Thousand Suns tour. That doesn't leave them any studio time to work on a TF3 track so it would make sense to have killed 2 birds with one stone and used one of the new albums songs for TF3. But then, they may not even be associated with the 3rd film. That would kind of suck. Megan Fox I can do without but no LP? That would just kill it for me.

Linkin Park post a lot of updates on Facebook and they haven't said anything about a song for TF3. If they were going to be doing a song, either a new one or an old one, I figure they would have mentioned it by now.

1. Ignorance huh? Gee, I'm sorry I don't keep up with Australian sports. Refer to my location.
2. I know how to use Google. It's a life-saver.
3. I was messing with you because I knew you would say that.

But I checked it out. The V8 Supercars are pretty cool, I must admit, and NASCAR could use some more road courses (they're much more fun). I hear Speed Channel airs some of the races over here but I haven't gotten a chance to watch it. Plus, I think Australian cars nowadays look a lot better than some of the crap these car companies think Americans will like...which is why I'm relieved to hear GM is giving us the Commodore again.
But...I'm going to move to Australia anyway...becuase Oprah said I should...although I risk you finding me.

Sure its safe. but people don't buy commercial spots during the super bowl to be "safe". Though with claims of the first real trailer coming out during "I am Four" on Feb. 18th, i really hope your not right and Bay does give us some new footage during the Super Bowl.

By the time TF3 comes out it would have been out for close to a year. Thats not really new in the music buis. I believe their on there 3rd single off their new album. So i guess its possible they could have a 4th single and double it as the new theme for DOTM. If they did choose a song from their new album, i wouldn't mind "Robot Boy" or Wrenches and Kings".

All were talking about is one song. Not an entire album or score. For all we know they could have been working on it already. Maybe wrote it at the same time they made " A thousand Suns" and Bay & co. had them hold onto it till around the movie.(Well, at least thats what I'm hoping for.

The first movie had several tracks with character, music that helped to make the scenes even more memorable (Arrival to Earth, You're a Soldier Now- especially the section at the end that announces Prime's arrival, Scorponok, and Soccent Attack). The music for the second movie was not nearly as memorable...I only saw two tracks that made even a slight impact (The Fallen's Arrival, Forest battle). Hopefully we will see more orchestral scoring and less of whatever the hell else it was they were trying to throw in.
I never liked the first movie's score. Not even when it was my favorite movie ever. But ROTF's scare is my favorite score for any movie.
