We have some great news for you Americans. While it did not seem likely at one point, with all G1 reissues being fond online only in the US for months (MONTHS!!), we have some definite proof that these Walmart exclusive reissues will indeed be found on Walmart shelves. According to some sightings from across the internet that is even already the case. Our own LordPrime99, who works at Walmart, sent us an image of cases that will be placed on shelves in two weeks. These are cases of G1 Starscream, who comes six per case. This is the same time that the Bumblebee movie figures should be found on the same shelves, adding to the 80s theme of that film.

Fans have been dying to see these appear in stores so if you do find them, let the community know through our forum where you can report for stores in your state.

Walmart exec: It seems like no one is buying the G! toys we stocked in stores. We must have mis-interpreted the want.

Walmart Stock person: Um sir I think it's because we inferred that it would only be available online, most of the people who wanted it were ordering it on-line and very few need them now in store.

Walmart exec: I guess people really don't want these G1 reissues.

So basically, any of these items spotted on a toy shelf at walmart prior to October 1 is a result of employees not paying attention or not caring...It would be interesting to see what percentage of stores follow the direction. Surprisingly I think WM is starting to take a small chance on higher price point toys in the absence of TRU, most notably the Marvel Legends Infinity Gauntlet that sells for $99, I've seen a number of them at walmart lately.

How much is the Devastator set retailing for? I may get that if I see one, and can put it on layaway.

And yeah, that infinite gauntlet is a great example of something I would have only expected on shelves at TRU

The sad part is, possibly as some WM exec may fear, being a high-end collectible, they don't seem to be selling well, (most collectors that wanted these probably got them online) especially since the "kiddie" $20 gauntlet is right next to it. I saw one store with a shelfspace for Thor's Hammer, but haven't actually seen any in the store.

I *hope* the classics sell well. I don't plan to go all out on them like I did back in 2002 with the TRU ones, no way to get those all back again. But I'd be down for more original series combiner box sets, many of which have not been re-released (Stuntacons, Protectabots, Technobots etc...)

As much of a fan I am of the original series, these Walmart reissues just don't spark that same level of excitement that the commemorative series at TRU did for me back in 2001/02. Of course it's nice to see a few different ones, such as Devastator, which i might still get depending on how easy it is to obtain...

We recently poste that the G1 reissues were going to appear in stores soon, with Starsream already being found. Well now Hot Rod and Devastator have been found at Walmart too. Ryan on Facebook spotted Devastator in California while zatara1701 found Hot Rod in Spring, Texas, north side of Houston. Devastator is 74$ while Hot Rod is around $30. And yes, both are packaged backwards. We still have yet to see the Minibots in stores but that will most probably change soon since if one of the price points would be stocked at Walmart, it would be the smallest one.

If you find the G1 reissues near you, please let other fans know through our sightings section and sightings forum where you can report by state.

Can't wait for the minibots. Those are what I'm most excited about. Already have the updated Starscream from when he came out in Japan. Devie and Hot Rod aren't really improvements on the originals. The minibots, though, those are improvements I don't have.

You shouldn't be able to see Hotrod's guns in the box and you should be able to see ALL the Constructicons at once.

There are some minor differences. The Constructicons have had their springs removed, Hot Rod is the original mold with the Targetmaster chest sticker, and both feature a new rubsign that doesn't change color, it just reveals the faction symbol.
