Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Brawl in Package Photo

A pretty cool photo was posted on Daim Choc's facebook page just an hour ago. It shows Combiner Wars Brawl in package. This would be the US packaging since a comic book is included, rather than the card. This toy is notable for being the first fully new mold for 2016's continuation of the Combiner Wars line. This would be the best indication of the finished deco we will be getting since this is the first time we see the figure in its finished state rather than a painted prototype or a digital stock image. However, this is still simply a production sample and a slight change in deco is still possible before mass production.

The facebook post states:

Thanks, I'll do that! Was just weighing up the cost (literally) of paying out more for UK-based sellers (in this case, Masterforce) against the cheaper dollar. The risk of missing out entirely may be enough to take the hit on paying out more... :-?

I too would have preferred that but the test shots from botcon showed us that he was gonna be more on the yellow/olive side, so I was prepared.

If logistically possible, you could order it online and have it shipped to where you are staying. I actually considered this when I visited Canada last month, but TRU CA's shipping estimate was too wide.

Hm, I may have to get this one even just for sentimentality. G1 Brawl was the first combiner figure I ever had and I remember the day I got it (was a late birthday present) and then over the next couple months I managed to get the other Combaticons and formed Bruticus. Combiners don't really appeal to me these days and Combiner Wars has become mostly a joke with the constant recycling, some of which don't make much sense at all so it's real nice to see my first childhood combiner figure get a new mold. Whether or not I'll buy the others in the team depends on how well they turn out but yeah I think I'd like to get Brawl (even just to stand with my RotF Bludgeon as 'tank mates'. :P

Aw, yeah... gotta git me summa THAT. The Combaticons were always some of my faves from G1.

I wish I'd have known they were going to do these before I spent a year saving up for and buying Warbotron....

I thought Brawl was a remold of Rook. I guess Swindle is. Am I mis-remembering, and Brawl is a new mold?

Practically the only place they've been found is at Target, so focus any stateside search efforts there if you can. I haven't seen Wave 4 anywhere else, and looking over the sightings list, it's target, target, target, straight down the line. One would think that wave4 was a target exclusive or something...

There are still a few Protectobot deluxes on the shelf at our local Walmart...

I recall something about that too, but my gut tells me it was purely speculation. I think he's new. And I also think we will see a re-tool of him with a great big drill bit hanging off the front. If you know what I mean. ;)

Some speculation here was that Brawl would be a Rook retool, but Swindle is the retool and Brawl is brand new :BOT:

Pretty sure it is due to the packaging. The stock photos look quite a bit better.

Bruticus is going to be my last complete combiner. I will get Sky Lynx and a few of the other main bodies, but no limbs unless they are a new mold.

I say this knowing full well that it is a lie because HasTak will probably make the Predacons or Monstructor or Abominus and I will NEED to have those.

But Brawl looks really good. The chest looks weird due to the angle of the shot. Because of him, Onslaught, and Swindle, I am okay with the fact that the other two Combaticons are a recipe and a head swap compared to my existing stuff. Shockwave is cool, but he is probably going to Megatron and Bombshell(with a very Combaticon name!) will be going to Bruticus.
