Seemed to be the theme for this guy's news, so I figured I'd run with it

That would even be a bigger coincidence, if he's never read the marvel G2 comic

I don't get the reference. I just thought it was a funny thing to say.

The tagline for the G2 comics was "These aren't your daddies Autobots!" or something along those lines. And it is funny to say nonetheless

Gaah! UW Devs and Defensor came in so I ended up shipping my POL from BBTS. Then just got notification that CW voyagers are in. After the POL already shipped!
Might go ahead and spend the extra shipping...

If I'd had more money I would have gone for the 2 pack with Scattershot. I don't mind his design, and if I really didn't want him I could sell him.

I went for the two-pack of Onslaught and Scattorshot, which I wouldn'tve done if it weren't for the point system used by The Chosen Prime. I'm basically getting Scattorshot for free, and once they get here, Ill probably turn around and sell him to my local comic shop, and use the proceeds to get myself a set of those PE hand/feet sets. Cash back!

So Japan gets the G1 box sets, and the Americas get garish G2. Fitting, I guess.

Aww man, benscollectables put up a review for onslaught, and bruticus has x and y movement
That means that he can look up, finally, the joint we've been missing for so long returns

If it was, Slingshot Quickslinger would have disintegrated from Gold Plastic Syndrome by now.
Hasbro released the G1 versions as singles and Takara didn't, though, so it makes sense to me that they'd think a box set of G1 versions might be a bit superfluous compared to something that's at least had a color change. They probably figured G2 was the closest they could get to a "classic" alternate color scheme.

That, and they probably figured the same figures probably wouldn't sell all over again - especially in those colors

Ah, good ole GPS. Good thing the newer plastics are immune. We would need a G2 Alpha Bravo to take G2 Quickslinger's spot after his GPS death otherwise

Scored the Combaticon Deluxes at Target today.
Guys! Brawl' waste situation REALLY isn't that bad!
There is enough tension to hold it. It's not perfect, but it's not a deal breaker.
Edit: OH! I almost forgot. Swindle is all WIN!

Man, my Galvatronus holds Shockwave so perfectly
But, now I need a Sixshot, and maybe an
one also, maybe in forest green
I love the gun mode, it's so compact and efficient, far superior to the powerglide mold, simply due to not being hampered by excess junk for his other modes

Well, yeah, most people don't buy two identical figures unless it's a troop builder. And we all know how the fans react when Hasbro tries to do something new, so it had to look like something that already existed. G2 colors probably seemed like the best option, perhaps even the ONLY one, in terms of getting the box sets to sell.
