While not all of 2022 wave 2 of Studio Series comes out at the same time at retail, the rest of the wave consists of deluxe BB Arcee and BB Ironhide, voyager Junkyard and leader Sludge.
The sighting comes from Primeboss who posted it here.

Only thing about it is that Marvel Spike never had an exosuit. However, if they replaced the exosuit with a headmaster body, which in turn can actually turn into Cerebros's head, that would be neat. Even if that head can't actually attach to a body. Or if they want to take liberties, have the body turn straight into Fort Max's head. I think it would be small enough to fit a Commander Class Marvel version of Maximus. And of course Zarak and Scorponok wouldn't be far behind. A pipe dream, I know.Bumblevivisector wrote:When I saw all that yellow through the dome in the thumbnail, for just a few seconds, I actually thought some error had made Spike blonde, giving us a Marvel-accurate Spike Witwicky head.

That doesn't surprise me. The SS cores are of two characters that spent a total of 15 seconds on the screen and only those familiar with G1 would even be aware of.

Fair thought.

Possible Sideways leak. If this is real, I am very excited for him. He seems to be mistransformed, but glad it looks to be his own mold.
Also, that Overload repaint is awesome like usual with you.

Thank you!
So I was in a discussion about Sideways earlier today, here’s some notes from that:
- He is slightly mistransformed, the chest portion with the headlights looks like it can rotate up to be more screen accurate.
- His window wings might be able to slide more centrally, it looks like they’re on sliders.
- His gun is actually based on his gun in the PS2/Wii game!
I think Sideways looks awesome, I can’t wait to get it!
Also, I asked Sam Smith on Instagram about what the reissue of AOE High Octane Bee in Buzzworthy meant for a potential future new mold:

I'll definitely pick him up, always nice getting more car transformers.

I'm glad I did too, my first one broke after being transformed/combined a few times, the joint that allows the arms to swing outwards from vehicle mode just completely snapped inside

Rest of the figure looks nice, though. Two-tone and even appears to have the silver stripes down the middle. Hard to tell if that's an Audi logo on the chest, of COURSE there's a shine RIGHT THERE, so hopefully this is actually licensed and we get a fully accurate vehicle mode (the car mode got more screen time than the bot, in this case ).

Even the original toy wasn't actually licensed, and we all know how restrictive VW and its associated brands (Porsche, Audi etc...i) have been with their licensing.
I think it will likely just be a somewhat R8 looking car without the Quattro rings.

Sideways’ CG model actually reuses several parts from Barricade, particularly in the legs.

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Repaint. Especially Seeker molds.

And yet, the original ROTF Sideways mold was a completely different one from Barricade's Movie 1 mold.First-Aid wrote:EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:First-Aid wrote:MeGrimlock78 wrote:I am getting really strong Barricade vibes off of him...

Yep, I'm pleasently surprised that this one is a totally new mold too! Rumors were that it would be a Dino retool actually, but I think this turned out much better than if it was a retool of Dino.

I think it wouldn't have made much sense anyway for him to be a Dino retool, his CGI model has way more recognizable car parts than Dino, as it usually is with the designs from the first two movies. He doesn't require as much faking as Dino does.

Exactly, yeah. Now we just have to hope they saved some of the new tooling budget for DOTM Bumblebee! xD

I know this is more another topic, and I plan to post there, but I wanted to share these images of the Premium Series movie 1 Megatron from SS. The new wash and copper really did this thing justice. i love the retail release, but damn the premium series one brings it home!

One more note on Sideways, Sideways77 on TFW2005 found what appears to be molded faux tires on Sideways arm higher up than the ones directly attached to the hands - the faux and real tires can likely combine, not only achieving a CG accurate split tire look but also shortening the arms a little bit:

That recent Direct Line ad with Optimus Prime in it really makes me wish Studio Series does an Optimus in his Age of Extinction / The Last Knight design soon, preferably as a Leader instead of a Voyager, the original Voyager Optimus mould was always a bit too small and skinny for my liking. Of course I don't expect this to happen any time soon, it's just as likely that the next Studio Series Optimus will be the Rise of the Beasts design.

Glad to hear you like these guys. Fun fact: when I was doing the deco I actually ordered touch up paint for the actual vehicles these guys were based on to get that tone just right.

Neat little thing that they actually were ordering the actual car paint to color match to in shop, I like that little detail

It looks like there is also a double hinge within his forearm to allow his hand to collapse in and align with the faux tire. There also seem to be hinges on the outside of his biceps, maybe to allow some car panels to swing to the front of his arms?

My thoughts exactly Funnily enough, that did get referenced in a canceled Multipack:

Megatron and Starscream are taller than Blackout at head height, but Blackout has the rotor assembly over his head that makes him (33’) taller than Starscream (31’) and a little shorter than Megatron (35’)
Grindor though is massive (50’)
While I don’t have 07 Megatron, both Starscream and Grindor are excellent. I’ve really enjoyed getting to revisit Starscream with the ROTF version!

Starscream and Blackout/Grindor also all have the backwards-knee thing going on too, so you can make the figures taller by extending the legs if you want Blackout/Grindor to have more of a height difference to get somewhat closer than that.EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I didn't realize Megatron and Starscream were taller than the Blackout/Grindor mold, since everyone used to say that Blackout and Grindor were larger than Megatron and Starscream in the movies.

Thanks to fellow Seibertron user, Omegatron, we've learned that UK toy seller, In Demand Toys has repealed the next two releases for Transformers Studio Series, Voyager Class Age of Extinction Galvatron and Voyager Class Bumblebee Thundercracker!
Thundercracker is a redeco of Voyager Class Bumblebee Thrust, and is the second of the Seeker Trio to be released in this style.
Galvatron is a completely new mold, and tries once more to bring the impossible transformation to the toy. In the film, the cgi model never transformed the traditional way, instead breaking into cubes and reforming into its robot mode.
Will you be picking these up?
Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

Honestly, I'm not sure what else they could have done.
Galvatron is one of those toys where a leader class slot may have allowed him to have a closer looking robot mode with more parts of the truck hidden.
