Reminds me of Red Lightning from Power Rangers Turbo.

Maybe if we're lucky this one will be in the movie for more than 30 seconds before he/she's killed off.

I think it looks like an '80's version of Knock Out from TF Prime.

I was actually thinking the same thing, A vehicle this wild would suit either of those characters. Wait..
"A vehicle this wild" Perhaps we're getting our first Look at A Movieverse Stunticon? Like Wildrider, or Dead End. I'm not saying the Stunticons as a group would Appear but atleast a Character generally associated with them could.

Looks like they just lifted Cliffjumper out of the TF: Prime series and slapped it into this movie as a Decepticon. I know the old model was blown up ages ago, but I wish the show/movie writers would at least pay some deference to the original roots. Autobots were ground based. Decepticons were flyers. That was the basic distinction between the two factions in the beginning.
Maybe it's because having a jet vs. a car in the movies doesn't make as good copy, and presents too much difficulty in terms of practical real-world dynamics and the limitations of filming?

That's Most Likely it, Also, It adds more Variety by removing that Limitation of Flying vehicles being Decepticon Exclusive. and even in the G1 show they eventually broke off from that style, we got Flying Autobots and Land-Based Decepticons.

Yeah, except for Soundwave. And Reflector. And the cassettes. And MEGATRON. The faction differences were arbitrary, and trying to assign any is pointless fanwank. Say what you will about the movies, but that's really not a big deal.

That's the bloody director who so happens to not be Micheal Bay but then again he wasn't the only one involved in the movies responsible for the stuff everyone hates.
Jesus Christ read the article before spewing spoiled nonsense it actually says this.

Calm down man. He probably thought that he was one of the actors, presumably having a Dylan Gould-like relationship with whoever this car character turns out to be. He wasn't insulting the guy or anything.

If it' s not I apologize but I wouldn't be surprised considering the state the fandom is in.
Edit: Telling someone to calm down 95 percent of the time just makes them angrier just saying don't say this in a real argument.

Just to have a bit of fun, the following names I can think of for this Decepticar include Windcharger (reminds me of him, magnetic powers can be one of his advantages against Bee), Override, Downshift, Deluge, Wildrider (or Brake-Neck), Offroad, Dead End, Inferno (something about it makes me think of Beast Wars Inferno), Side Burn, and if it's Cliffjumper, maybe he'd be corrupt and there'd be a story similar to Hot Shot and Wheeljack's rivalry.

It's definitely a 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner, it's one of my all time favourite cars. Whether this gives us a time range for setting or not I can't be sure of, but it would sit nicely in the timeline with an original Volkswagen Beetle

They said it was set in the 80's, but I don't remember the exact year. Probably '84.

I'd usually highly doubt that they'd adapt a classic Transformer and not just make an original one -- and if they do 'adapt' a classic Transformer, they'd make them nigh-unrecognisable. But still, new director... y'never know.

i thought it was supposed to take place in the 80's, but the tires on the car are recent. we didnt have bfg km2's in the 80s.
