Sadly, Hasbro never finished off making individual transforming figures for all of the Constructicons. Takara did their best attempt, but it was only in the EZ Legends class. While this piece of art from customizer Klejpull does not transform, it certainly spot on to the character's CGI. We're talking about the Decepticon Overload, who takes the form of a Dumptruck. With his Constructicon brethren, he combines to form Devastator, and make up his lower torso. There's no combining here, but Klejpull puts the rest of the Robot Replica line to shame with this custom!
Overload as a character looks like crap but that figure has some awesome craftsmanship, definitely have to give some props to the creator. Great work man.
While on the subject of replicas, I have always felt that a well sculpted and well painted replicas line for transformers would be awesome. The movie replicas were crap IMO but a well managed line of g1 figs with top sculpts and paint apps in scale of each other would be rad. 6 inch figs with build -a figures like the old marvel legends line. I know they aren't technically transformers due to the lack of transforming but I would love to see it.
what I dont get, is why does the EZ Legends version NOT have the four legs? If they ever DO make an Overload toy (CUSTOMISERS WOULD BE MIFFED AND EXITED) I'm guessing the long flat bed in the back would split into the four legs. maybe Rampage's four legged alt mode was homage? I use red Rampage as MY Overload toy.
