If you happen to see a neon coloured armored vehicle on the road, you might want to pinch yourself, you're likely dreaming. If you happen to see a neon coloured armored vehicle at this year's Botcon convention, get your wallet ready because you're about to lay down some serious cash. The latest Botcon reveal happens to be a neon coloured armored vehicle and a repaint/remold of Universe 2008 Ultra Onslaught! This figure is a homage to Generation Two character Clench, and subsequently has the same name. Clench follows Spark, Breakdown, and Streetwise as the first four Botcon reveals, and the four out of five pieces to the Botcon Boxed Set. The fifth is Skybyte. Check out the retro look below!

Um, yeah, did we get this from an official source? It looks like a badly-done digibash to me. Someone could've easily taken the Botcon logo from the last reveal. That, or Funpub doesn't have the toy on hand yet, and they REALLY bad at digibashing. :lol:

agreed, I will keep my fingers crossed this is a fan made digibash.

I dont even use the original classics tankor in my collection due to his dinky arms and ridiculous weapon

THIS IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT! Onslaught is perfect, I was so disappointed when I thought it was octane, now I absolutely need to get this set.

this thread was a roller coaster, I've never hated and then loved an exclusive in the span of 6-7 posts.

The people predicting Universe Onslaught were right I guess. I know its suppose to be G2 homages and all, but I really wish they'd tone back the colors a bit.

Looks like he's the other guy besides Breakdown getting a retooled head. Unless that image proves to be wrong, that is.

I'll never quit you Blurrz! Thanks for the links! Is it at all possible that this faux clench will be a different character? Speaking of repaints, there is a twin-cockpit jet, a purple shuttle and several minicons heading straight for the furnace of my mansion. Rosebud style. Look it up!

Seriously, the Onslaught mold? Where is that alt. mode even close to the original? They could have just used the voyager movie Optimus.

Missed the conversations about Botcon not wanting/able to use movie molds in what others have said.

I thought that I had heard that anything was available to use for Botcon exclusives, but I had also heard movie was out due to copyrights.

Either way, I cannot see them using a mess of different line molds that are very different. If they are going to use movie molds, or animated molds, I would expect all the molds to be of that type, not a couple. They just would not fit together well as a set.

Is it me or do i have to wear special 3-D glasses to understand this? I will admit i wasnt into G2, but not sure if any of these are worth shelling out the cash for. But if i did, would have to take out the batteries to turn off the neon glow at night!
