We have news that Transformers Retro Beast Wars Cybershark has been found in the US. No Wolfang was found yet since these ship in solid cases. TF fan Red Snarl found this toy at Walmart (the exclusive retailer in the US) in Fishkill, New York. What an appropriate city for a first sighting.

JTPrime has some new for us concerning the Walmart exclusive Beast Wars Retro line. We knew we would be getting Tarantulas, K-9 and Terrorsaur and now we have the product codes for 2 of those. But better yet, we have a totally new listing. We now know that Beast Wars Iguanas is also being reissued. Now there are 2 Beast Wars Iguanas toys, one basic like Terrorsaur and a Transmetal 1 one. Smart money is that this will be the basic frill lizard. That does mean that as with Rattrap and Terrorsaur, we are expected to pay deluxe prices for a basic class toy.

I have them all except Iguanas and Terrosaur that don't interest me.

One thing I like about these is there's differences enough for the originals to not lose one cent of value.

The only Terrorsaur figure I liked was the Transmetal. So not really interested in the OG figure. Nice to see Iguanus getting some love again.

This really surprised me. I thought we wouldn't see any more vintage reissues (original Transformers or BW) since Hasbro is eliminating plastic from their packaging. Either these will be an exception to that decision, or they are going to look very odd...

Exclusives get exceptions. Hasbro only made the commitment for mainline toys.

I'd be mainly interested in Terrorsaur if he comes in the show-accurate Takara running change colors, since I already have the Takara figure but it's misassembled with two of the same fist.

Only use of the Terrorsaur mold I have is Hydra so I'll be picking that up, I have Crazybolt (got him on clearance at BBTS some 20 years ago) so I'll be getting Iguanus, and I don't have the Tarantulas mold at all so I'll be getting that as well. K9 I do have so that's a pass.

So far the reissues have done me a lot of good, it's really helped me pad out my early Beast Wars collection having needed Rattrap, Tigatron, Cybershark, Wolffang, Terrorsaur, Iguanus, and Tarantulas. I still need to pick up a cartoon colors Scorponok, but I have an original so it isn't quite as important, waiting on a clearance.

I think it would be cool if K-9 was a slight redeco of the original, with his yellow fur paint changed to a more realistic golden brown shade.

We came across an interesting e-bay listing. It is for a "Transformers Beast Wars Kenner Vintage Collection Evil Predacon Retrax 220801", by a shop which tends to get the latest Transformers toys. They do not have an image yet but it's written that an image of the 2022 packaging is coming. For those unfamiliar with the toy, we have a gallery of it here.

For now, that's all we have. When we get more info, we will share it with you.

With the high parts count Retrax is, I bet the price will be close to leader class, l8ke Scorponok.
Thank God I already have mine.

Retrax, more than any other figure, deserved something modern and BETTER to come from this:

Gosh, I remember having this toy as a kid.

It's features included "Be a Ball" and "Give hugs." Always wondered why silly bug hug man wasn't in the show when I was little.

I also remember it being a really flimsy toy that didn't quite lock in place correctly.
