Do those really cost that much at botcon?

I wish it was cheaper. I could really use someone to help me out with securing one of those.

1. When Brian says the 1500 sets are officially "sold out" on a megaphone at Botcon, I guess he is officially lying.
2. They still have that stupid "you must have already purchased a box set" rule which just encourages scalping. (WTF am I going to do with a 2nd set other than sell it ???) I would think a "collectors club" should encourage people who dont own the set to buy it, rather than hooking up scalpers at a discount price.

It says on the TFCC store page that these were the figures that were held back in case anyone needed to return a defective figure and needed a replacement. Hopefully they're still keeping a few in case any of these figures are defective.2. They still have that stupid "you must have already purchased a box set" rule which just encourages scalping. I agree but it protects the exclusivity for those who actually bought Botcon tickets. If any Johnny-come-off-the-streets could buy one later it's not fair on those who go to a bunch of effort to get tickets and travel.
If it's west coast again I'll be there.Rated X wrote:Diem wrote:Rated X wrote:2 points to be made :

I see your point, but e-bay already destroyed any exclusivity ticket holders like ourselves ever had. Owning a Botcon set has basically become a "money talks" contest. I dont blame the actual scalpers. But I do blame TFCC for encouraging club members to become scalpers. Hope I see you at Botcon 2012. I promise a full fridge of beer again.
. Hmm That might not work though, the only place's in Oregon that Gets publicity enough for one are Memorial Coliseum and Oregon Convention Center. However those already have There Local Comic book convention's. Those Get fierce last time i went to one of those 1 person gut mugged and two people got into a shouting match over a G2 Bruticus. and allot of of the stock wasn't sold I found a lose raggedy old soundwave there it had a tag saying $550.
