BotCon Drag Strip Officially Unveiled

That's pretty hideous, IMHO.

I'm offically out for Botcon this year.

Sick. And not in any good way.

I would have preferred Lockdown as Dragstrip - tall, creepy, thin, lanky. Wildrider from Arcee would have been hot. Yes, I said it.

Hmmmm, I guess there aren't going to use the Blurr mold for this set after all. Guess 2 yellow Blurr figures would be a stretch in one years time.

Interesting that Dragstrip is female. any chance she has a back story like that of IDW Arcee

thats horrible, even with a remolded head it would still be horrible. Blurr would've made a much better dragstrip.

I'm beginning to suspect that the fandom is in universal agreement that these should have never become Botcon exclusives. Could I see them as being an exclusive for a retail outlet? yes, but it seem kinda strange that we're getting them for Botcon.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting AEC and Classics repaints/remolds for Botcon, but this is just another way of thinking outside the box.

There's is one thing to notice. I'm beginning to think that they used Arcee for Dragstrip fro a reason and not just because of the word drag in the name. Notice how she's significantly smaller than the others? Dragstrip by tradition is one of Menasor's arms so they might have opted to use a lighter figure for a possible combination gimmick?

The idea of a combiner coming out of this set is very unlikely though, but it is a nice thought to entertain. The only reason I'm thinking that's a possibility though is FP insistence on Motormaster being revealed last. It's very possibly that the Leader Class Ultra Magnus mold was retooled to allow some semblance of a combiner. Heck even Optimus would work.

I do plan on getting this set mostly so I can make an upgrade set for it. If FP doesn't make them combine then I plan on making something that will.

Overall, I'm curious to see what the rest of the team will look like.
