Shots of a Masterpiece Cheetor prototype have emerged online showing an accessory that was absent from his release. In the shots below, you will see a comm link that was originally made for the toy. It calls back to the long-range comm link that Rhinox made in Episode 3, "The Web". The smaller one is for Cheetor's robot mode arm, and the fatter one is for Cheetor's Beast Mode foreleg. Thanks to Sabrblade for informing us of these images that were posted by STFU and Primal Sabbath on TFW2005.

new thats what that slot in his arm was for. optimus has a similar slot in his forearm, which im sure is for the scanner he had when megatron asked for a truce near the end of season 1. probably cancelled for similar reasons.

How confident are you that that is real? I really want to news it, but the non-authentic bug has bitten me and I am a bit bitter and hesitant right now. I know the figure came with a diecast Optimus Primal option in place of a coin, but I can't find a single peep about a coin anywhere else either

.... personally I'm 100% sure it's legit because I trust my source. And seriously, who would fabricate a brand new coin?

And all I got is the coin. No packaging

The coin would come from Hasbro Asia though, no? Takra Tomy doesnt issue coins.

That is correct. All of the coins come from Hasbro Asia, not Takara Tomy.

Good news for those that missed it last time – MP 34 Cheetor is back up for pre-orders at Big Bad Toy Store, due in stock in April 2019. Which gives a release date at a similar time as the now delayed Beast Wars Megatron. Cheetor sold out quickly before, so this is an excellent opportunity to catch up with the Masterpiece Beast Wars line.
