On the non-transforming (or converting) side of toys, we have some new concept art from Flame Toys and their officially licensed Transformers model kits and action figures, specifically this time for the Devastator set. The art comes from the hands behind Gurren Lagann animated series, Transformers fan artist Akira Amemiya of Trigger animation studio.

Check out the sketches below, and let us know what you think of this display piece in its paper and ink form - will you be venturing into the new money and time consuming aspect of the hobby any time soon?

This money situation with full grown adults buying toys is getting tiresome I barely make 100.00 dollars week at work I saved up 1,100 dollars to go comic con if you want something bad enough save up for it yes I do have bills pay and car insurance if you want it stop buying toys use that money that you don’t buy toys with use it to buy this not that hard :BANG_HEAD:

You be surprised how much money you save when not buying toys

I get what you are saying but priorities also apply to savings as well, especially for us who have little income and families to provide for.

Yeah, and there's only so much money any of us can make. It's the folk with extremely well paying jobs or lottery winners that can just freely buy whatever figures and toys and statues they darn well like. :P

Money is only one of the finite resources we have, the other is space. And that's becoming a more treasured commodity with each release.

But money can buy you space. Though it requires a lot of the monies. :)

Becuase it can’t transform. Theirs party companies that are licensed from Hasbro aren’t allowed to transform. That’s why they’re making them look so stylized

Man, I HATE comments like this. As if it's that easy and clear cut. What if I can't budget for a Titan unless I stop buying three Leaders that I also want equally, now what? Stop buying the things you want to buy this other thing you want, what a childish way to look at things. You're still going to want the things you didn't buy so you're missing out no matter what. If your car breaks down or your house leaks, yeah, you stop buying things you want in place of the things you need, but balancing one want against another is never as easy as you make it sound.

I cannot wait to see colored images, I love the stylization, and I'm really looking forward to all the Flame Toys stuff. There is some really neat stuff like these kits and the Victory Saber in there

Depending on the size and the pricing (as in we are currently facing £55 for a $40 RRP Optimus Prime model that I'd deem to be a $30 model max in comparison to Gundams) but definitely cool

Hope this is made available outside of NYCC. I was looking forward to it, but I don't want to pay aftermarket prices for it.
