It would seem Rocawear is collaborating with the Transformers brand for an exclusive collection of T-shirts blending Transformers imagery with JAY-Z quotes and song titles. See some of the designs and a making of video below.

Rocawear, fresh off the success of pairing Jay-Z's lyrics with Snoopy and Peanuts (not Snoop Doggy Dogg), has collaborated once again, but this time it's Hasbro's Transformers. Yes, the box office smash hit has partnered with Shawn Carter's Rocawear for an offering of a variety of t-shirts. Check out what turned out to be an incredible collision of hip hop energy, autobots and decepticons, we're sure you won't be disappointed!

Shirts with sayings generally aren't my thing, but some of those are pretty sweet. I especially love the G1-inspired artwork.

Nice art ruined by slogans and brand names.

Complete PASS on all of them. I like some of the artwork, but the only one I would even take a shred of a second, to decide to still not buy it, is the BB one. Reminds me of the fail of Star Wars and whoever that other 'trendy' artist tried. Let Ed Hardy have next crack at the Transformers designs FACEPALM

I'm a pretty casual Jay-Z fan, but I'm buying at least one of these. Too awesome.

Wow how unbelievably tacky and somewhat offensive.
I guess the old transformers of our time that had high moral standings and
Honor, have been replaced with pimping and ghetto urban culture.

Way to drag down the franchise Hasbro.
It's almost offensive, and downright sad.

I dunno...I kinda like 'em. Guess it's all about personal tastes and styles.

I couldn't disagree with you more. When I was a 9 year old kid in 1985 Transformers were my life (along with G.I. Joe ). And in the neighborhood I grew up in the soundtrack didn't include Stan Bush's the Touch or Weird Al's Dare to be Stupid. We would have loved Hip Hop music to be a part of the 1986 feature film soundtrack. Now our demographic is getting it's recognition and being more included in the marketing. Over the years G1 has been kept in the mainstream by Hip Hop culture via DJ's such as DJ Megatron, included in many rappers lyrics (Lil Wayne in Chris Brown's Transform Ya) and in alot of our fashion (G Shock watches, baseball caps etc). Even in the original series the episode Auto-Bop features a break dancing crew aided by Blaster, who coincidentally transforms into a Hip Hop inspired boom box. We all have different fond memories of G1 but it is a brand that can be shared by all cultures. And plus those Roc-A-Wear designs are pretty sick.

Actually I find your comment offensive and downright sad...

Exactly what is your problem with "ghetto urban culture" ???

Must all transformers fans be geeks and so called "fan boys" ??? I grew up in the streets of Miami. Ive hung out with gang members, driven a lowrider, recorded rap music in home studios, drink Colt 45 and used smoke out, and my favorite music groups are Three Six Mafia and Trick Daddy.

Did I mention I have over close to $10,000 invested in my Transformers collection ???

I welcome Transformer Shirts that I dont have to order size XXXL just to avoid getting "geek size" tight shirts. (like the Botcon shirt sizes) I bet even all these Linkin Park boy band fans will buy these cool shirts. I might grab a few...

LOL Anyway....Transformers + Jay-z quotes = WIN!!!!

I'll be sure to pick up that Megatron/"I love my haters" shirt Along with Starscreems "Renegade"

Man...they've gotta do one with Soundwave and the cassettes! So exited!

I got your back man, and if I ever make it to Botcon, I'll get you a drink!

Just discovered those commercials myself actually while looking up G2 Dreadwing and ATB Megatron (easily my favorite mold). Anyway, caught the lyrics at the top of his page on the TFwiki, had to look it up! If you don't have that toy, you need to get it.

I love the Blatant heroism of the people trying to Defend.
There is a HUGE difference from the Pop-Hip-Hop inspired music from the cartoon, and commercials of the late 80's early 90's and Roca records.

The big difference is the blatant stereotypical lyrical assault on the commonsensical nature of the idea of Hip Hop. Remember this is a kids brand, and kids shouldn't be listening to negative stereotypical garbage the Hip Hop industry has thrown upon on us in recent years, it's no longer about struggle, it's about how many records you can sell to the main stream club hopping creatons.

oh and btw Nas > JayZ suckers!

I'm not hating on Hip Hop, just on the crap Roca is.
And will always be. Trust me, when I listened to the TF movie soundtrack back in the day and realized "Hunger" a song about shooting Heroin was on it, I laughed. Knowing Kids were jamming out to it, taking their hero Optimus and having him fight to the Heroin music. Then I heard music from Vince Dicola and Stan bush after the TF soundtrack and cried at how awful it was. Then Laughed when I saw Vince Dicola talking trash about Jablonsky doing the Score's for the movie.

I got Opinons all day on music in Movies/ Shows.

I dare ( no pun intended ) you to show me something that's not (Dare,Touch, or Fight to Survive) that isn't something awful.
The Guy's a Cartoon theme song Icon of the 80's, but nothing more then that. I got nothing but love for him, but lets be honest here.
