Nelson, Of [Director Michael] Bay's Shoot For The Edit forum, posted the following today....
Nelson: Just a little heads up: Empire and USA Today might have the first official TF2 photos on 12/29/08.
So keep your eyes open.

Not just the year, but the day is wrong too. 12/19/09 or 12/29/08? 4 days or 1 year? Doesn't matter. It'll probably just be pictures of Shia and Megan making out or something.

i'm confused about the confusion..... Nelson said there might be pics in FOUR DAYS...
and remember what the first oficial pic of the first movie was? Skorponok launching himself out the sand behind Tyrese... so there is a possibility that we could get Bot pics

Four days eh? We'll see..
Ten bucks says we'll see a bunch of pictures of Shia and Megan (the latter would not be a bad thing) and an occassional pic of Prime and Bumblebee...and not one new thing to be seen.

Nelson has added this to the thread on SFTE
by both i assume he means CGI and Live action shots
I don't have the details. I assume it will be combination of both like the Skorponok one with Tyrese running in front.

If that is the case then the SFX wont be completely done.

Agreed...either that or they will have pictures of the human cast and the vehicle modes. I'm betting on the latter more than anything.
I have to wonder about this too. Why wait so long? If I'm not mistaken we had leaked artwork for the bots in August or September before the first one (which caused a massaive backlash from purists and much wailing and gnashing of teeth). Are they intentionally holding off to prevent this from occurring again? Or are they really trying hard to tease the crap out of us and leave us wanting more? With the success of the first movie (I believe worldwide gross topped $800 million) I tend toward the latter.

I highly doubt this would be the case. We already know what to expect as far as aesthetic direction goes so what would be the point?
