Perhaps he's confused not by "what" the other series is, but your opinion of it as "much better". I'm not here to argue opinions, spent way to much of my time doing that in the early days of the internet. But still, I know there are a percentage of fans that don't even consider Rescue Bots to be a true Transformers show, relegating it to something akin to those "Go-Bots" videos that accompanied the pre-school age toys from 2003-2004-ish let alone "better" than a current main stream Transformers show. Truth be told - If I did not have kids, I would not have watched a single episode of Rescue Bots, so I don't discount those who have the same line of thought. Admittedly however, after watching several episodes with my son, I do understand its appeal to children as it is very well written for them.
Admittedly when I first heard that TF: Prime was getting cancelled I was extremely upset (still am a little), but then I decided to take a step back and look at the example, of all things - Batman - I have pretty much every animated incarnation from the 1960's Filmation to 2013's Beware the Batman, and all the animated movies in between. Sure the more adult oriented ones appeal to me as an adult fan, but the series has to occasionally shift back to younger audiences to regain its core demographic (and sell toys of course), this is why shows like RB & (hopefully) RiD 2015 fare so well. Still its good to know adult fans are not being totally ignored, we will have our Combiner Wars, and if done right, it could be amazing.

Well, I get we all want a fourth season of Animated, what I'm asking is where is your assumption founded?? Why do you think we're getting a continuation of what is, IMHO, the best TF show since Beast Wars? Because, as far as I know, we've not heard anything to found these rumors.

Robots in disguise needs to be DISCONTINUED! SHOw is awful! Bumblebee being a leader just not and never will be right.OPtimus looks like a clown in this series i mean you sacrificed yourself in transformers prime to creatr animal like deceptichops? And creating a geisha autobot and more weaker autobots? Common writers of this show must think twice or even 50times, one decepticom per episode? thats just a waste! Put bumble bee aside hes like a tulip put ultramagnus and original autobots in the show and optimus should be just the leader and stop the idea of having beastlike bot or con its really annoying.

I thought Bee being a leader was interesting, especially since it was a small group and not the autobots as a whole. He really showed maturity and yet still maintained a kid-appeal to him. The character development was impressive.
Optimus' look actually looks cool. It's almost his Beast hunters body, just tweaked for the animation and I thought he looked better in this than in most other cartoons.
The idea of 1 decepticon per show was cool, and that eventually some formed up as a team provided a good nemesis. The animal look is different, but it created some very good designs. Not all were winners, but there were some fine looking cons.
I also like that the other bots aren't there yet. They will make appearances in season 2 occasionally, and I like new characters. That's what was fun: Brand new autobots not seen in some time or not at all, brand new cons not seen in a long time or not at all. And the animation allows for more to be created since they are less complex. Thunderhoof needs to be a recurring character now, he was pretty awesome.
I believe it is the same team creating this show as Prime (and if I'm wrong Saber will correct me). And they make it work well. i like it as a sequel. enough callbacks to make it a sequel but enough new material to make it new and refreshing.
of course this is my opinion and you are perfectly entitled to yours, but I personally liked it.
And by the way, as I see you are new, Welcome Friend!

Mirage9, *deep breath*
This series was about testing the waters, with the target audience of kids, of a non-Optimus helmed series, because I think Hasbro realized that Optimus was becoming a bit of an old hat. Did I like 'Bee as a leader? Not really, he questioned himself even more then Rodimus did in season 3 of G1.
*pinches brow* It can be assumed that all the Decepticons we meet are from the war, in other words, pre-Prime Finale... Younger Cybertronians who aren't war-hardened (not that this is exactly a grim show) like Sideswipe and Strongarm are presumably from the latest generation of Cybertronians.
*sigh* She's not modeled directly off a geisha, but modeled off the Japanese style of theater known as Kabuki, which, yes, has geisha's in it, but the direct basis is not a geisha (I find it hilarious you can spell geisha correctly but not create.)
And they made the Autobots weaker to generate drama, and if you look at any series post G1, where the stats were fairly even, the Autobots generally don't have the upper-hand in strength, it's called rooting for the underdogs.
Sentence doesn't make sense. They're trying to emulate Power Rangers and it's somewhat successful Monster-Of-The-Week with a stereotypical personality based on its look. Case in point: Octopunch, is a salvager octopus, talks like a salty seadog.
Never heard somebody be called a tulip in an insult-like capacity. Oh, and it's too late to change anything.

While Bee did question himself a lot, you can see why. He had young renegades as his team, and he himself didn't feel up to the task. But he did grow in his work as the season progressed, and honestly he makes a pretty good commander to me.
I also liked that we did get so many decepticons. Sure they haven't been realized as toys yet, but there were some incredible characters created, and something new is always welcome

Optimus questioned himself in his youth too. Younger leaders don't know everything since they're too inexperienced. Optimus was no exception either.

I am on the fence about this show. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. It is something of a mixed bag for me. I've been watching it slowly as it isn't something that has drawn me to the point I have to see the next episode. Maybe it's because each episode seems disconnected from each other, like you could watch them in any order and it would be fine.
However I love the look of the characters and think the figures are amazing. I want more Con toys, cause like I said I think the designs are amazing. The animal Decepticons to me are kind of a cool contrast to the traditional villains we get in Transformer shows.

As the show continues, more and more callbacks to previous episodes are made in later episodes to the point that several episodes must be watched in their proper chronological order in order to fully grasp the bigger story of the season.fighterknight wrote:I am on the fence about this show.
