Is Grimlock's Diaclone Dinorobot cockpit the only one that opens?

Is there a chance of getting a Diaclone Swoop gallery (the blue bodied one)?

They can't. They lost the molds to these figures.

What exactly do you mean by saying "they lost the molds"?Ι know this may seem a silly question but I don't get it.....

They're either stolen, degraded beyond repair, or they just can't find them. :P

Great galleries as usual, Seibs. Silly question, but is there a chance of another set of G2 Dinobot galleries, speficially the teal Grimlock, green Snarl and red Slag?

i'm not super knowledgable on the different toy lines and all so i gotta ask...whats with the mini versions of them? i noticed the mini Grimlock has blue eyes so i assume the big red eyed version is the same as the toy i have from the 80s but yeah....whats that about?

A couple years back Takara started a line that feature miniature (really, they're that small) versions of G1 toys. The line ended rather quickly however, but the concept was picked up by third parties, unsupported by either Hasbro or Takara. Justitoys was one of those companies, and produced those tiny Dinobots.

It should be noted that the company is walking a thin legal line here, as they are reinterpreting Takara designs, but not blatantly copying it so they won't get sued for copyright infringment. That's why they're not called "Dinobots" either, but more generically "Dinorobots", and each is named by its function rather than by name.

The fact they're not shut down shows Takara is being lenient in that matter for now.

Reminds me to buy the last two "DinoRobots." Thank you for posting these guys up- they're fantastic. Although the debates can get heated here- you still have one of the most complete and wonderful Transformers sites out there!

Sweet... i've been waiting a long time for these galleries.
and no i don't think they lost the molds since they did recreate them as part of the WST line which is basiclly the same, only smaller.

Thanks to these galleries, I have learned something: Sludge is blind! :P

Seriously, he has no eyes on his alt. mode! Unless they're glared out or something in the photos.

Poor Sludge, he needs an update(along with a proper Steg Snarl) to go along with my Classics/Animated Dinobots. Heck, Sludge needs a proper update period. In the grand Transformer mythos, ther are only two long necks: Sludge, and Rairyu from Dinoking.

Yes.

Unfortunately, no. I don't own a blue diaclone Swoop yet. One day maybe! It's definitely on my wish list for when I win the lotto. Of course, it helps if one plays the lotto, but I can always dream. :)

I doubt this. I'm sure the molds are sitting around somewhere or they could recreate the molds via reverse engineering ala the MOTU reissues from 2000/2001. Besides, I'm pretty sure the "knock off" companies in China have them since they knocked-off the Dinobots a couple of years ago.

Not yet. I don't own those three G2 versions yet. Still looking for a nice and reasonably priced set of the 4th wave G2 Dinobots and the orange Constructicons. One day :)

Yes indeed. I can't believe I started working on these galleries over 2 years ago. It seemed like every time I sat down to do their galleries, something more pressing would always crop up. I always work on the most relevant galleries first and work my way backwards as needed. And then slowly yet surely all of the WST Dino"robots" were released. I almost waited to launch these galleries to coincide with a Masterpiece Grimlock gallery but decided it was best to do him separate. I'm just glad to have 5 of the most popular Transformers ever finally up on the site. I love the Dinobots!
