Haslab Unicron at 3,000 Backers ... needs our help to get the final 5,000

I think just extending the deadline or giving another try later in the year when people are not short on funds would do it. I wouldn’t want to see this thing shrunk any

It really doesn't. It is complex with lots of moving parts, but isn't "fiddly" like, say, MP-36 Megatron with lots of tiny parts. I think a lot of people are intimidated by transforming something that big on a stand, but it's a different type of challenge.

There are some people making note that they're specifically talking about "Hasbro-affiliated" retailers, postulating that there are even more orders from retailers that aren't directly partnering with Hasbro the way TakaraTomy Mall in Japan and EB Games and Zing in Australia are.

This was my belief as well. The only ones they can really get an idea from is the ones directly affiliated with them and that's still with a week remaining. If we can hope that Pulse will get a burst in its final days then those other sources should as well. Then factor in the third party orders which may or may not already be included depending on when they're placing their orders (if they can only place them in fives then there's no good reason to wait and do them all at the end). We're finally over the half way point, hopefully that'll finally motivate some people to get in.

The high price and short notice are exactly why I opted to go with the more feasible route of preordering Unicron from TFSource and saving up the money over the steady course of a year and a half.

It's especially good since TFSource, unlike other options, has no down payment for their preorder.

They already made a smaller Unicron if you want one. Making Unicron a Titan would be a sleight against Titans.

Perhaps this is a stupid question, but I'm curious.. I put in an order for 2 Unicrons - does this mean that I am counted as 1 backer or 2 backers?

I believe it counts as two from what I've heard. I may be wrong though.

Meaning that if you cancel the order yourself, you won't get the deposit back.

I'm not asking the literal meaning. I'm noting that, contrary to Sabr's statement, TFsource does appear to in fact require a down payment.
