Got yourself a ruler handy? Stand it up on your desk, or whatever table top you're browsing on right now, and you've got the height of the newest ROTF Optimus Prime statue! Thanks to Japanese online store Hobby Search, we now know of this creation from PopBox. Optimus Prime does not transform, however he comes with interchangeable hands and his trademark switch blades. An interesting and lavish piece for any movie fan or Optimus Prime collector! Check out the images below.

This is the previously revealed piece from Popbox Collectables, not from TakaraTomy.

F**kin TRASH! like Movie Prime had a DISNEY FINISH added to him. Fa!L

Oh SH!T I just thought of something. What If the reason theres a transforming buzz lightyear is cause disney and hasbro or takara have a small contract worked out to show a few ROTF toys in the new TOYSTORY 3?
Would be way cool!
Imagine the line of Tformer/Disney toys. Woody transformsinto his horse Bullseye. HA! BowPeep turns to whatever the chick cowgirl is. Ugh Enough booze time for b............

And he just stands there, can't pose or anything? Man, I can't believe some people are going to buy this...well one guy for sure I know will buy this. And put it up on youtube and say, "it's just awesome." Like everything he buys.

Nope, that's just you; the heads on the transforming figures are all smaller than they should be, because they transform (they have to fit in somewhere)! You're just used to the smaller heads! (Pin-heads as my Nan calls them and she's right; now I look at them and think 'wow, Sideswipe/Bumblebee/Megatron etc *does* have a small head!')

Yeah, maybe this head may be ever-so-slightly bigger than it needs to be, but it's a better size than the transforming figures.

Actually the size of the head is way to big even for a statue. I have over 20 pics of optimus prime ranging from the very 1st original concept art to real pics taken from the movies. And the ROTF leader OP's head is actually a lot more movie acurate than the statue. In looks and in size. And the statue lacks a lot of the final detailing. The statue is actually a cross between 3 different concept versions of Optimus Prime. With only about 3 things accurate to the final version.

Personally I think the statue looks awful and it's absolutely insane to charge $400.00 for it. Even half that is way to much. The leader class OP from ROTF is much more movie accurate and I bought 2 of them for about $35.00 each. Did some custom re-painting and now they look awesome!

Taken alone, the head looks fine. But it's like the body is only 7/8ths scale to the head. Yuck.

Wait wait wait this can't be the same mattek (sp?) that was announced a while ago? I mean they stated it was going to be based of the actual 3D model from the movie just modified to make it work as a statue. While this has the same pose it has nothing the prototype renders had, this looks like a poor copy of what they showed us and the head looks like he's wearing a comically huge replica of his real head.

Hopefully, Dead Metal is right and this is just a copy. If not, then this is a silly, useless pile.
