Had this been released, it would have been very appropriate issue for Optimus' 25th anniversary in 2009.

Did I read the original post wrong, or did First Gen say this Prime a prototype for a retail release?

Looks like someone chromed a Nemesis Prime. It looks awesome though

Not sure if it is in fact a prototype of any upcoming event/exclusive releases. When I first saw it on eBay, I simply took it as another chrome creation from heerotoysmaker, lately he's all into chroming toys, wst cab/trailer, wst seekers, etc.

However, the actively high bidding prices of this auction clearly spells winner. Very nicely looking figure indeed.
