The tariffs are for the items' country of origin, meaning the country they're manufactured in, not where they're sold from.william-james88 wrote:Emerje wrote:I don't think we really appreciated how big these figures are until we saw these pictures. Shame the tariff rollercoaster meant a lot of didn't pre-order these. Hope whoever bought them is ready for a Chinese price hike to be added on.

Why would they be subject to the Chinese tariff if imported from Japan? Won't it just be the blanket 10%?

Regardless, it's not US made so...
Anyway, I just love Canada's hypocrisy that complain about Trump's tariffs when they are tariffing themselves. They impose mandatory taxes on all eBay purchases and if anyone import anything that is worth above 100$, bang, we get hit.
Anyway, the base price of these things are pretty expensive so I don't want to pay taxes and shipping on top of that.

But that's not a tariff. That's just sales tax which the US also has, as does the UK (VAT) and most other countries.
Sure we also get a 10$ admin fee, but that's not a tariff either. A tariff is an additional percentage fee on top of the sales tax. Canada does not have that on items imported from Japan.

Hasbro products are manufactured mostly in Vietnam but Takara manufactures in China.

Specifically, Takara Tomy figures initiated by them (Masterpiece, most of the T-Spark stuff) are made in China, stuff they share with Hasbro (Generations molds, Earthspark molds) are made in Vietnam.

Luckily, Transformers multimedia archivist Walruslaw of TFRaw has gotten himself a hold of the video and uploaded to his archive on Google Drive for all to see and enjoy.

You know, I wondered if Takara might have made these with the hope that Hasbro would jump in with them only for Hasbro to decide to do Cyberworld instead. I wouldn't rule out Hasbro repurposing Wild King figures for Cyberworld later if they're in such a convenient place for them make use of, they seem like they could aesthetically fit in together, not like these lines care about scale.

It's really tough since they sold out from Amazon Japan instantly and they are not being carried by western collectible vendors.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Wild King is an entertaining line thus far. The transformation is simple, but still fun, and I appreciate the stock transformations for the limbs.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:If I'm honest, overall, I like Volca and Leafback more than Longlight and Hydrophant. Prime is a simpler transformation that's more fun, but Megatron is the overall better figure.
Images of the second wave popped up last week on Amazon Japan and you can see them below.
These will all release on June 28, 2025.

WKB-06 Spirituan
WKB-07 Drill No Horn

The thing is, the basic concept behind Wildocking is supposed to emphasize bonds forged between individuals from very different walks of life. They're not supposed to be a uniform combiner team.Brokebot wrote:I think I'd be far more interested in this if Prime and Megatron weren't involved. Admittedly, I know nothing of this line other than the photos, but all the animal forms attached to a vehicle themed robot has the feel of a middle aged white dude in a 3-piece suit wearing native war paint or Polynesian tattoos. I think a beast mode leader would look far better and more cohesive, but that's just me, I guess.
Think of it kind of like those Japanese G1 Combiner combinations made from members of different Scramble City Combiner teams: Abomenaticus, Comperian, Cybertron Super Scramble, Destron Super Scramble, Scramble 7, and Volcaticon.
In a way, the story feels a lot like an isekai, with Optimus and Megatron being two vehicular Transformers from the technologically advanced world of Cybertron who find themselves in the very different, much more primitive jungle world of Elementros that's fully inhabited by tribes of animal-themed Transformers. There's a great sense of culture clash with the Energy Beasts being amazed by Optimus and Megatron's otherworldliness, while they themselves try to get a better sense of what this world is like and what their role in this world is to be. There is a strong "fish out of water" theme that is further emphasized by the vehicular nature of Optimus and Megatron in this world of jungle beasts.

Now if they were able to disassemble and combine with EACH OTHER (rather than just the "main" bot), a la the Fossilizers, then I'd be 100% sold.

There is no indication that western retailers will be stocking these so your best bet if you want them is to order directly from Amazon Japan.
Here is the link for Amazon Japan where the two packs are $50 USD plus shipping and tariffs and taxes: https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/b0fb2q?tag=seibertron00-22& ... sform0c-22

Also no US tariff on these since since they're made in Vietnam and de minimis (tax free under $800) still exists outside of China and Hong Kong.

I'm betting the Autobot symbol's placement is to better make Nemesis a mirror image of Optimus, as it's placed on the opposite shoulder of Optimus's Autobot symbol.Emerje wrote:Weird seeing Nemesis Prime as an Autobot. You'd think they'd have gone with a different name.
Also, reminder that Legacy Nemesis Leo Prime likewise had a Maximal symbol.
