The latest issue of Dreamwave's Transformers: Energon not only features a bot-kickin' battle between Megatron and Scorponok, but Dreamwave's Candice Chan listed this site, SEIBERTRON.com (along with several others), as one of the media groups that have...gone out of their way to help them out.
We're only too happy to be of service to Dreamwave, the company that brings fans the continuing exploits of The Transformers.

Don Figueroa, main artist on Dreamwaves Transformers G1 and forthcoming Beast Wars comic, has stopped by the 2005 borads to post HIS take on G1 scaling.
ok, MY scaling system goes like this:
-Minibots are two heads taller than Cassette bots which in turn is a head taller than a normal human
-Deluxe cars and Insecticons are a head or so taller than Minibots (obviously) but some are taller than most, like Inferno.. so they vary from a head above the minis to a few
-Prime and Megs are about three heads taller than Jazz, about a head taller than Inferno, Grapple, Soundwave..etc Gestalt leaders are also about a head smaller than Prime
-Seekers are also a head smaller than Prime/Megs, Smaller gestalt members are about deluxe car height
-Magnus is about a head taller than Prime when in Armor, Jetfire maybe a couple of heads taller
-Dinobots vary from a head taller than Prime (Swoop) to maybe 3 heads taller for the biggest (Sludge)
-combined Gestalts are 2x bigger than Sludge
-Sixshot is slightly taller than Sludge, but not as bulky
-Omega Supreme and Sky lynx are 50% bigger than a gestalt. to me, Devastator should be slightly bigger than most combiners since there are Six of them, then height wise, it goes Predaking then Superion, Bruticus, Menasor and Defensor
-Metroplex is about 5x the size of Omega Supreme, Trypticon will be slightly bigger
-Fortress Max and Scorponok WILL be bigger than Metro, though I'm not sure just how big yet

Things haven't been so great on the Dreamwave front lately. With
decreasing comics sales,
a shake up in the creative team,
a change in convention plans and the general lateness of all of their Transformer titles, one has to wonder what's going on within the company.
On the heels of all of this news comes
this bit of info from
TFormers.com, which states that
James "Brad Mick" McDonough and
Adam Patyk have left the company. Although this is not exactly a surprise given recent events, the fact that there has been no "official" word from Dreamwave about it (despite what their recent press release implies) means that the news must be taken with a grain of salt, despite the fact that the TFormers story comes from "a reliable source".

The Energon Pub's very own commander shockwav has provided us with the rankings and sales numbers for Transformers comics for the month of October. War Within: The Age of Wrath #2 sold 23,943 copies (9559 copies less than the previous month), coming in at #95. Energon #28 sold 18,361 copies (1414 copies less than the previous month), coming in at #116. Obviously, given the recent shakeup in the Transformers creative team over at Dreamwave, this drop in sales is hopefully a temporary problem.

Dreamwave Productions have updated their website with a very curious press release regarding the status of their Transformers titles. In order to curb what they call "demanding production schedules due to a creative team that has been working on multiple projects", they have announced the following changes to their creative staff:
Chris Sarracini, writer of Transformers: Volume One (AKA Transformers: Prime Directives) and Transformers Armada: First Contact, has become the new writer for both Transformers/GI Joe: Divided Front and the Generation One Ongoing Series.
Pat Lee, artist for Transformers Volume One (AKA Transformers: Prime Directives) and Transformers: Volume 2 (AKA Transformers: War and Peace) will be replacing Don Figueroa as the artist for the Generation One Ongoing Series.
Simon Furman, writer for Transformers: Energon and The War Within, will join Don Figueroa in writing the upcoming Beast Wars miniseries, Issue #1 of which is now scheduled for a February 2005 release.
Obviously, the biggest question this press release asks is "What happened to James "Brad Mick" McDonough?" He was, after all, the writer for Beast Wars, the ongoing and TF/GI Joe: Divided Front. As usual, we will keep you informed of any developments.
In the meantime, feel free to check out the full press release by clicking here and join the ongoing discussion at The Energon Pub by clicking here.
