Bring on the Throttlebots But not just all redoes of Bumblebee!

Seems Autobot Chase was a copyright issue. This has happened before. Does anyone recall other Transformers where the package and instructions had different names?

PS- Why no G2 smilies? I was born in 80, but I do like the G2 symbols.

Somehow Roadburn makes this mold look better.
I don't know how; the proportions and shapes are all obviously the same, but the colours just somehow tricks my eyes into making those more appealing than on Bee.

Picked up Megatron. I really like him. But is it true his little tank barrel nub can be removed and pegged somewhere else? Thought I heard something about that but don't want to break the thing off trying.

By it's appearance as a seperate piece I assumed it could be tilted up to let the cannon point diagonally up in tank form but mine snapped off when I tried it as it's actually held on but a peg (which is what snapped). It still fits back on snugly in place though. If you find confirmation of what your post is about then let us know. I'm not bothered about it myself but any interesting lil alternate configurations no matter how small are often useful to folks.

The Rumours of later waves seem to show other Throttlebots presence.

Shame they didn't think it would be nice to really run with that and make a deluxe of Voyager Wideload - just as its been a while since we had a nice Autobot Construction vehicle.(scoop perhaps being one of the last ones).

Brawn strongly resembles Rollbar too I guess... Especially in vehicle mode.

RotF Scout Dead End: the insert for the initial European packaging had "Detour" instead.

At least it shows Hasbro tried to use "Autobot Chase", but something threw a wrench into that. Also a reminder: the full Rescue Bot trademark is "Chase the Police-Bot", and is no indication of the availability of the single "Chase".

As long as there's a little bit of variation in the tooling. But it looks like a neat little figure,and the Throttlebots have been an itch for me since Goldfire, so I'll probably still get 'em all anyway.

I think they might also have one for "Chase the Rescue Dinobot", but I'd imagine that helps even less.

And Hasbro continues to be lazy with the stock renders: Roadburn is in exactly the same pose as Bumblebee, only mirrored. At least they changed the head this time around.

Thing that worries me about Nightbeat is that due to being late-line, he'll probably be a redeco of one of the two existing car molds in the line - neither of which really fit him well at all.

Probably, yes, but not necessarily. Even in the notorious Combiner Wars line, the last two waves introduced the Brawl and Sky Lynx new molds; Scattershot, Swindle/Hound, and Wheeljack extensive retools; and Onslaught and Trailbreaker more-than-just-a-new-head retools - and that's just in Deluxe and Voyager classes!

(And yeah, I realize my usage of 'retool' isn't technically correct - I used it in this circumstance simply to indicate "mold is different to some extent from previous uses". It bugs even me to use a word incorrectly, but I figured it was easier than coming up with a new, broader term.)

Is it just me or has Wave 3 had the worst quality control so far? My Sixshot in jet mode can't tab the nosecone together, on Megatron one of his arms wont tab in place in plane mode, and for Twinferno everything seems floppy and wont tab together. None of my other figures (except Skullsmasher) has had problems like this?

Dunno. My Megatron and Hot Rod have been pretty much flawless in regards to QC. I had issues with the earlier stuff. Hardhead's head would wobble like crazy and his large gun kept dropping off. My Takara legends Scourge and Blurr had really loose antenna and trying to fix Blurr's resulted in an accient where it's now permanently stuck halfway.

I really hate this new Kup from the waist up. The only thing I like is the legs. But the arms, chest, face, and vehicle mode are all...just very unappealing to me.

The only thing keeping this from being Titans Return's version of Combiner Wars Breakdown is the fact that I don't need Kup here to complete any set. So at least there's that. God I hate Breakdown.

I thought I remembered the general conclusion being that "retool" indicates changes being made to the mold after its original use, which I had the idea those examples weren't (though actually, I don't really have a basis for that assumption other than Hasbro's general pattern with the line). Hey can't be too bad my twinferno has two right arms and I have already contacted Hasbro with an image of the two right arms

I've only got Chromedome, Wolfwire, Buzzsaw and Rewind so far. No problems with any of them; I haven't even had Rewind's gun break yet despite succumbing far too many times to trying to transform his arms while the gun is still in one of them.

Ha, I just did that with Rumble yesterday. Gun didn't break, but it did launch clear across the room. Took me 15 minutes to find it because, well, my basement is a mess.

I was under the impression that they (more likely) counted as "pretools" rather than "retools", since it seems probable that the different toolings were planned and incorporated from the start. The mold itself wasn't altered after the fact, it was pre-designed with both toolings incorporated - therefore not a retool. Since I wasn't sure that "pretool" was correct either - maybe some of the changes weren't intended at the very start, like what seemed to happen with much of UW Computron - I didn't want to use that term since there was no way for me to be certain about that being the case either.
TL;DR I made things way too hard for myself when I could've just stuck to basics

I was under the impression that they (more likely) counted as "pretools" rather than "retools", since it seems probable that the different toolings were planned and incorporated from the start.

Pretools are a kind of retool. They just fall in the category of "all pretools are retools, but not all retools are pretools".

And of those you mentioned, their original mold versions had others as their pretools:

• Silverbolt's was Cyclonus (albeit, as a reshell, since the Silverbolt mold is so unambiguously Slverbolt that anything as meager as a new headsculpt wouldn't be enough, and the Technobots were a late addition in Hasbro's plans for the Combiner Wars line)
• Rook's is said to have been a canceled backup plan for Brawl made just in case Brawl wouldn't get his own mold, and when Brawl did, there is word that the unused Brawl-headed version of Rook was going to be used as a new Technobot named Ironclad, but was ultimately discarded from Hasbro's Computron in favor of using the original five Technobots (plus Scrounge and Cybaxx) instead.
• Breakdown's was Sunstreaker
• Hot Spot's is said to have been a canceled plan for Inferno as the torso of a new Combiner named Firestormer.
• Offroad's was Ironhide

Moreover, all but one (Scattershot) of those ones you mentioned also have pretools of their own:

• Swindle's is Hound
• Wheeljack's is the forthcoming Figure Subscription Service 5.0 Counterpunch figure from the Transformers Collectors Club (the figure's head was made by Hasbro).
• Onslaught's is an unreleased CW take on Armada Demolishor
• Trailbreaker's said to be an unreleased CW Hoist

And huh, I did not know about a lot of those unreleased pretools! Especially Demolishor from Onslaught, I can't say I would have seen it myself but I always love seeing UT guys slowly filtering their way into Generations.

Fangry (and Lione aka Sawbacklol) finally found in a Tigard Oregon Target! I love Fangry's head but haven't found the right transtector for him...

I can't wait for Repugnus!

I actually like Breakdown/getaway - but that might have something to do with that I don't have chromedome yet.

That said he is very white so I will be giving him a bit of magenta on his shins and blue on his forarms to pep him up a bit as well as paint his wheels.

As for quality issues - My Hotrod has a slightly crappy less that crisp wheel on one part - if I ever find a carboot junker i'll likely swap the arm over as it's a bit unsightly.

Also speaking of Breakdown they didn't get the tolerarances correct on the shoulder ports they are to tight to be usable for the main gun. only 'Blurr's gun' fits.

Twinferno has slightly loose ankles - but he pegs fine you just have to know how to get the angle just right to get it to work then it click in place - it took me a few goes to figure out how to unclick it easily though as it's a b***er to get out the 1st few times.

Yes my Megatron is a bit loose too I had to nail polish some of the connectors to get him to work better. Mindwipe is a little loose too especially the knees and ankles - but not so much so he's a rag doll - just a hair tighter would make him play better is all - I'll fix it when I have finished playing with him - as it take 2 or 3 days to fix them properly with floor polish.

As for Wired wolf's back breaking I think the trick there is to open the chest and push it out from the underside.

Hey, question for you all: Do you know that little black gun that comes with TR fort max? With the headmaster seat that normally goes in that large blue translucent door in his chest? Where was the packaged in the box? I was looking up fan city modes online and realised I didn't have one. I didn't actually know it existed until now. Halp?

I think Shuffler should be cool too.

Nice! I don't live too far from Oregon City in Lake Oswego! But work all the way in Hillsboro. That leaves a lot of different stores to hit-up for new TFs lol

Yeah! I know exactly what you're talking about. I was actually going to buy a house in Lake Oswego but went for the OC. Gorgeous area. There's a little British import shop up there called Lady Di's in downtown LO that I miss a ton. Awesome place. I'm familiar with Hillsboro, too. We went all over the place up there. LO, Beaverton, Portland, even out to Tillamook or Newport sometimes. Funny to run into someone from there. Cheers!

I think that gun was pegged into that door on mine in the box. Buti could be wrong.
