Congrats 3 people looking for him!
Can't wait to find Dragonstorm, but I JUST found Scorn and have only found Staffe from wave 3. Not looking great for getting last knight without relying on e-stores:\

I found a leader Megs and a leader prime about two weeks ago at the local Target. No Dragon. I snagged Megs. I checked back the other day, and leader Prime was still shelf warming in the exact same spot, and nuthin else new. Gonna have to check some other stores.

Is 2 weeks really the time we now wait to call something a shelfwarmer?

Well how long should it be, dude? Nobody ever told me how long somethin's gotta sit. Can you throw me a bone here?
After two weeks there's NO other leaders there except Prime, and it's the same one sitting in the same spot at the same funky angle it was when I got Megs. All I'm saying is... they got nothin' else in. I was lucky to get the only Megs that showed up, and I'm not sure they're gonna get any more.

Yeah but the idea of a shelfwarmer is that the toy is still there when the line outstayed its welcome. Thats what makes them so distinctive. In this case you have a movie leader in the shelf space for movie leaders for people to buy while waiting for a restock. Thats just business as usual. You get where I am coming from right?

Are there any TLK Transformers with eight steps or more that cost less than $20? I saw a Hot Rod Walmart exclusive for about that much; but he only had about three steps, so that's why I wouldn't pay much for that figure. I did see larger leader Transformers that had plenty of steps, but they're about $50. Now if someone gives me examples of Dinobots, that won't do because I have plenty of beast Transformers now. I know TTC's don't have many steps, but at least they're they're not expensive, and you get a surprise when you see what's inside.

As for shelfwarming, I think a good definite example is the occasional CW Leader Skywarp one may see sitting around. It's obviously a little hazy when exactly a toy becomes a 'shelfwarmer', but personally I feel like it's safe to assume a toy has at least overstayed its welcome when every other figure has turned over a few times and the one in question hasn't (not just the figure type e.g. TLK Leader Optimus Prime, but the exact individual figure hasn't moved while everything else has to a notable degree).

Yes, any Deluxe Class Transformer from TLK should be about (maybe a little less or more than) $20, depending on exactly where you look. Bumblebee, Berserker, Barricade, those guys. Not that I'd wholeheartedly recommend any of them for that price, you'd be far better off saving a bit more and getting one of the Voyagers from Wave 2 or 3 - they're much better figures by comparison, and far more worth their price-tag, even if that price-tag is a bit higher.Jason5billion wrote:Are there any TLK Transformers with eight steps or more that cost less than $20? Dude, don't waste your time with TLK if you want some epic transformations. Go hunt the classifieds or even Ebay for some nice ROTF, HFTD, or DOTM goodness. Those deluxes, voyagers, and leaders were EPIC. So much so that with all the complaints parents gave Hasbro, the Transformers have been heavily simplified starting AoE and RiD.

When it comes to movie Transformers, I'd rather stay away from Voyager class Transformers because they're probably just double changers, but a Bumblebee would be nice. They probably made a Laserbeak from that one movie where he turned into quite a few things, but I have a feeling that they released him as a double changer, but I could be wrong. Too bad Hasbro won't go back to putting out Scout class Transformers. Whatever you do, I'd highly advise hanging on to ones you've got. There's one store I want to check out; but I know how it'll be if I see a TM Optimus Prime or Sandstorm, so I'm gonna stay away from there until a week from Friday at least because if they have either of those and TTC Transformers, I'll buy one and find myself with very little money. I came to the realization that my mom has six great grandkids, not five, so hopefully, I'll get another duplicate because then they can each get a gift from me for Christmas.

Is Berserker worth buying? I enjoyed Barricade for what he was, and Berserker does look cool. Plus I just adore the Dread designs.

Dunno. Look at video reviews and judge for yourself. I'd wait for a sale but even then, I now limit myself for the TFs I buy. After dumping so many toys to get some sweet, sweet geewun at my local geek store, I came to realise how much crap I bought before just to have something new.
So now I concentrate to only what REALLY matter. Space and money are not infinite and I'm now past buying everything in sight.
Beside, a TR Trypticon will soak most of my TF ressources for this month.

From what I've seen and read, his biggest problems are the panels not being glued in so they fall off during transformation. He still seems better than his twin Crankcase, though that's not saying much.

Found Leader Megs yesterday; like Optimus, part of me wanted to buy him since I have been interested in getting bigger versions of them to mess around with (especially with Megs's alt mode), but the reviews have been putting me off with the legs, fusion cannon, and the nosecone gimmick; plus I still need to find the Voyager version (which thanks to poor distribution all that my closest Walmart has are Grimlocks and Slashes).
