Hot on the heels of the interesting straight from the mouth of Simon Furman at Auto Assembly 2005, IDW Editor In Chief Chris Ryall has been interviewed at TFW2005.com.

Q: What exact time frame are you going to be using? With Generation One, there are literally hundreds of characters, and there are quite a few that have been unused over the last few years. Do you plan ot focus on the Transformers released in the first couple of years, or do you plan to throw in some latter year characters in to the mix?
A: Both. We plan to start with a relatively small cast of Transformers on both sides, but I venture to say that fans of just about every character will get to see their favorites appear before too long. And those with a keen eye for detail just might spot hints of characters in their disguise mode in the backgrounds of upcoming issues.
