Greetings Seibertronians! Following on from the new
Photos
, we now have an english video review of Transformers Generations Selects Deluxe Class Rotorstorm by YouTube toy reviewer Baltmatrix. This was shared with us by fellow Seibertron user, -Kanrabat-.

The toy is a redeco, with a new head, of Transformers Siege Deluxe Class Spinister.

Rotorstorm was a toy first introduced as part of the fan dubbed G1.5 toy line introduced in Europe and other parts of the world. He was then re-released under the Generation 2 label.

We have embedded the review below for your convenience:

What do you think of this toy? Have you preordered him? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

  that's awesome!. But if they had time to give Rotorstorm a new head, I'm sure in the 4 and 1/2 months until Hothouse is released that Hasbro can fix that.

UK retailers are stating October release date for hot house though I doubt they will get him before Pulse does.

Why not? They got Studio Series Overload, Earthrise Sky Lynx and Scorponok in before anyone else ;)

Entertainment Earth is also saying October.

Have to say, I'm very disappointed with Hot House. He was the base I was looking forward to the most (still have the one from my childhood as well as Ironworks) and they really went the lazy way with a straight repaint. HATE the baby blue, it has no place on this figure. Should be dark blue and used sparingly, but I guess that's gang molding for you. Would have preferred the blue parts be orange and then the firehouse be painted dark blue so the front would be orange like the original. Why did they ever give this mold tracks if not to make a proper tank mode? There's got to be an official tank mode in this mold that they haven't shown us yet. The black guns should have been orange, too. And then I had to go and pay and extra $8 to get it off EE since Pulse sold out so quickly just to add insult to injury. So far this is my least favorite figure in the WFC lineup.

As for pre-orders selling out, it seems like Pulse always gets more when the item comes in stock (I've been on the other side of the fence plenty of times). Even the :TAKARATOMY: Seacons were in stock (albeit limited), so there is still hope, and you can absolutely bet, if another retailer gets HotHouse before Pulse, I'll be cancelling my pre-order. In fact looking at the last 20 months since Pulse went online I've had 10 pre-orders cancelled, and only 3 actually ship...I'm surprised they haven't shut down my account.

Greetings Seibertronians! Following on from yesterday's announcement that we'd be getting new Transformers Generations Selects reveals every Tuesday, fellow Seibertron users, Immortal Starscream , Kaynowa and Thundertron, as well as site sponsor, Entertainment Earth, have let us know the identity of the first reveal.

Transformers Generations Selects Deluxe Class Hot House

The listing is also live on Entertainment Earth.

Hot House is a redeco of Transformers Earthrise Wave 2 Deluxe Class Airwave and completes the four Micromaster Bases (Along with Earthrise Deluxe Class Iron Works, Airwave and Transformers Generations Selects Greasepit). Interestingly there appears to be an upside down printing of the words 'Fire Station' on the figure. This either hints at a yet unseen layout for base mode as speculated by fellow Seibertron user, Sabrblade, or an error.

What do you think of Hot House? Will you be adding him to your collection? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

Not if you subscribed to Hasbro Pulse and have free shipping on all orders for the year ;)

So out of curiosity assuming you have Pulse Plus, how many orders under $50 have you done this year?

It is disappointing about Hothouse just being a straight up Airwave repaint. At least Greasepit had some newly molded parts to differentiate him a bit more from Ironworks. ALL of these Micromaster bases could have used unique head sculpts too. It's not surprising that we only got two unique modular base molds, though. Siege only gave us three modular Deluxe Class molds, all Weaponizers. Each got a repaint as one of the Powerdashers, so that's six releases altogether. Earthrise is following the same trend. We're getting two modular figures that act as base modes for Micromasters, and a third as another Weaponizer, Fasttrack, as a companion accessory for Titan Class Scorponok. Ironworks has been repainted into Greasepit. Airwave has been repainted into Hothouse. And we know that Fasttrack will be repainted into Black Roritchi, the repaint of Fasttrack that came with the Japan-only Black Zarak, a retool/repaint of Scorponok from the Super God Masterforce portion of G1. That gives us six total modular Deluxe class figures again, with three unique molds, each one repainted exactly once.

Well I can't say I'm disappointed because I wasn't looking forward to Hot House in the first place. I just don't care that much about the micromaster bases (I'm thinking about maybe getting Ironworks but none of the other guys). Still looking forward to the other reveals though. Hopefully the leaks are true and they include Bug Bite, Roritchi, and G2 Megatron. I'm only looking forward to the first two if that is the case, I've never really been into the G2 Megs look.

Got my pre-order in, excited to get all 4 bases. wish they had retooled some parts though, like they did with Greasepit.

Huzzah! Another figure that, if we're even lucky, will make it to Australia in limited numbers and be priced more than regular release figures of the same size.

This is a wonderful time to be a collector from outside the US! Image

Well I am not one to be critical usually, BUT....

Should be called "Hot Mess." While I have nothing against "colorful" transformers, this looks like something my younger brother and I would've made out of his Basic Lego set when we were 7-10 years old. To me being colorful is ok as long as as they coordinate... This just looks like a hodge podge of colors thrown together, which makes the alt modes even more problematic.

Some people may like it, but for me it's an easy pass.

Blame the late 1980's early 1990's for that. Those were my teen years and EVERYONE wore bright fluo colors like these. Transformers didn't escape the trend.

Exactly. The original (pictured below) looked like that as well. I personally have no interest in this, But am happy for those that do. Its nice to see obscure characters that only have one toy get remade and modernized. :D

What??? It's been a long week at work so I haven't been paying much attention but when was this revealed??? I freaking want this! I'm a sucker for funky-colored camo, and G2 Megs is some of the funkiest.

Yeesh. I'll give it this, it looks a little better than I expected. But personally I just don't like how G2 Megs looks (I'm not sure yet if I just don't like the look of camo or if its just garish camo like this). I was pretty sure this wasn't going to get me to buy earthrise Megatron, but at least now I know it for sure. Happy for anyone who likes this though.

Seriously digging that G2 Megs. The head is perfect as well as the deco. Let's hope it's not a Pulse exclusive.

Thanks to Seibertronian Sentinel Primal, we have word of an anticipated Generations Selects figure that was posted on Twitter, by user @ARCTIC_STORM. It appears to be a slight remold of the War for Cybertron Megatron figure, with his classic green and purple G2 deco, along with a new G2 toy accurate head.

While this figure has not been officially announced, this looks to be legitimate, and not just a well done custom.

I admit it isn't for everyone, some won't like the mold and some will definitely not like the colors, but I loved the whole 90's fascination with neon colors. Megs is practically wearing a tracksuit:

Where's this idea that it's a remold of Siege Megatron coming from? I saw this on TFormers too, but the figure is just a repainted Earthrise Megatron, even the head is the same.

I don’t think it’s a retool; head seems to look the same.

Have to admit though; despite my distaste for this mold in general and how much better the Siege one is, this in Generation 2 colors actually makes it look good and almost makes me want him to go with the Reveal the Shield Laser Optimus. :-?

Yeah, the head looks like it's just the ER mold.

Earthrise Megatron is himself a retool of Siege Megatron therefore this figure is a retool of Siege Megatron by default.

I like him, especially the tank mode, it's nearly perfect! :x Just needs some Toyhax labels to finish him off. Bot mode isn't as nice, I do like the added purple, but a way to mount his canon to his shoulder would make him better. Maybe it's just me, but I like this head a lot more on this figure than on the regular deco. In the end he does match nicely with the Legends purple and Selects tiger striped G2 Megatrons which is really what I want.

I did expect a new alternate head, though, makes me wonder if they have another figure planned for this mold. I'd be happy with something that hasn't been done at retail yet like a transforming Gutcruncher or or maybe a future Netflix set of Treadshot with Catgut (repainted from Lionizer) and maybe a Targetmaster we haven't see yet.

I'll pick this up, my only nitpick is the feet being gray instead of green.

Wasn't going to get the Earthrise normal deco since it was too redundant compared to Siege Megatron (espically since I got the normal version, the first selects version and the Netflix version since I liked the latter more then the first version and have nowhere to sell the first conveniently)

But this?

This is good and it will be my first version of the Earthrise Megatron, I'll use him as a different character like Megastorm rather then as a Megatron much like how I use the first Selects Megatron as an OC (just some guy who's a really big fan of Megatron and redesigned himself to match him, hence having the name on his chest)

I'm still waiting for a miner Megatron deco, because we know they have the tooling for that head. Though I would rather they use the Siege version as the base instead of ER.

This does look pretty good, but I think a little more effort with retooling some parts and paying more attention to color details would have made this that much better of a figure of G2 Megatron. They could have redone the fusion canon and/or the partsforming turret to better replicate the G2 shoulder cannon. They could have remolded the abdominal piece to look more like the G2 equivalent. They could have painted the pelvis dark green instead of purple and the hands and forearms gray. They could have included the small pistol accessory. Also, Rodimus Prime, while you wish the feet were green instead of gray, the gray is accurate to the original G2 toy (as seen in the pictures below), so in this case, Hasbro and Takara Tomy got the colors right.

Oh, meant to post this before, it's not directly transformers related and people that would need to know the most have been emailed about this anyway. But in case you missed it, Hasbro has extended current Pulse Premium memberships until further notice, I think the cutoff was originally the start of September. They've also given a sneak peak at their plans for the new Premium coming later this year.

Later this year, we’ll be updating the Hasbro Pulse Premium program to give you more of the things you’re looking for in a loyalty program.

Here’s a sneak peek:

  • Rewards just by having a Hasbro Pulse account
  • Tiered Program based on how you much spend, or you can buy your way to the next tier up front – your choice!
  • Exclusive access to sweepstakes, products and content
  • And... access to more epic perks throughout the year!

So what does that mean for your Hasbro Pulse Premium status now? Nothing just yet! Your current status remains until the new program goes into effect. We’ll be sharing more details on what this means for you over the next couple months, so keep an eye out!

Sounds like you can either pay to get premium or you can just earn your way into it by spending so much in the store. Maybe spend $100 and earn free shipping for a year or something along those lines. I'd be super happy if the exclusive access also included early access to pre-orders and convention exclusives. They've been talking about perks for a year and a half, but the only ones I remember are the free shipping and Black Friday coupons.

Well, that looks better than the regular ER version, but that wasn't particularly hard. It looks alright, I'm just not really a fan of this camo scheme. This figure does definitely explain part of why ER Megatron looks so off though: his head sculpt looks like it was made to go to this G2 version and then they put in the G1 color scheme and it didn't translate well.

I'm honestly hoping this is the reveal for this Tuesday, because I'm not interested in getting him and I'm going to be trapped in a car all day anyway (which would complicate things for me if the reveal is something I actually want, considering how fast Hot House sold out), and for those that do want it, I hope there's a way to mount the alt mode cannon on his shoulder somehow for that G2 accurate shoulder cannon.

It is more ER that Siege, but ER Megatron himself us just a slightly retooled Siege one. Not like Siege and ER Prime which are completely different. Basically ER and Select G2 are the 4th and 5th versions of the same toy with slight differences.

Although I had no interest in this until Albatross250 mentioned BWII Megastorm...I know people are excited for BW in Kingdom, bur I really enjoyed BWII (Neo not as much), even though its never officially been released in any form in NA, I've had them on VHS since they basically came out, and of course the fansub versions online now are great. I'm so happy we are getting God Neptune, would love it if any small BWII stuff came out, but doubtfull. I think however the deco on Megastorm was slightly different than G2 Megatron. I'm no expert with paints, otherwise, I might get G2 Selects and try it.

Well if you are unable to change the paint up, you could always interpret the purple camo as Megastorm beginning his change into Gigastorm since that form has purple.

No quite completely, they do share some parts including pinned leg hinges that are locked in place. At a time when they seem to be trying to remove as much metal from these figures as possible it's strange that Earthrise OP was left with these two vestigial pins.
