Also, these Million Publishing exclusives are giving me a real clear TF fetish.

I think clear blue Mirage from Botcon '07 is on my list next.

EDIT: And Detectus.

I'm kind of stupid about exclusives. Could one of you more savvy collectors possibly hint where I will be able to order this (omg I WANT IT) figure? =P~

HK, oh, sorry about the drool.

I'm really looking forward to this-a lot! This will complete my Henkei/Classics seekers shelves quite nicely. Despite the gray bits, it looks great.

You see, here's the thing: I got no qualms with shelling out 910 bucks for this most awesome looking figure, but if the mold degradation hit so hard on the Henkei Coneheads to the point where the blasters barely stayed on their shoulders, what about this one?

I'd hate to pay that much to a figure I'd have to "adjust" after buying just to get it to pose right.

Looks nice...Its a shame these greedy asian companys cant sell them for what theyre worth: $12.99 plus a modest shipping and handling fee. These $100 prices are an insult to fans who have kept transformers alive for over 25 years.

This is one of the few preorders I've kept lately. Really looking forward to it.

I would love to own a Ghost Starscream, but I bet this deluxe toy costs as much as Devastator. (The most I ever spent on a figure) I mean like seriously, I wouldnt mind spending $20-$35 dollars each for all the deluxe seekers, but it seems they are not trying to market these toys to the average collector. I know there is no shortage of plastic or cheap labor in the Eastern Hemisphere. (MADE IN TAIWAN/DOLLAR STORES) I think all fans should boycott Henkei, Tarka, Gentai, etc. If they see nobody in the USA buying for the holidays, maybe we will see a drop in prices next year. No disrespect to those who choose to pay high prices, but I got bills to pay and these prices are not collecter friendly.

I have no problem whatsoever paying $90-$100 for an exclusive. Why? Because A)They go beyond that value, over time, B) They're limited production, and very high demand.

It helps to understand if you actually comprehend economics...limited supply + high demand = high cost, and I could easily see these costing even more, but they don't.

I have a question for the folks interested in this figure; as with Electro Disruptor Ligier and Henkei Strafe, I intend to keep them MISB, and purchase the regular version to pose next to it. In Starscream's case, do you recommend the Henkei or Universe/Classics version, and why?

Thanks.

Well, alot of collectors are and are not fans of chrome on figs. Most of the naysayers argue that overtime it dimishes and all that. I personally love my Henkei Starscream, but I also have the US 2nd release which is the spitting paint scheme of MP Screamer the walmart version and it just looks so good to me. So either way you're doing okay, just make sure you don't get the first US run one.

Education time.

1) This figure is not mass release, in Japan or the US
2) This figure is made in limited quantities, which means that the profit-per-unit must be higher
3) This figure is only available to japanese citizens who have
--a) Bought Generations vol 2
--b) Filled out a form and attach about $45 USD-worth of yen
4) Importers have to go through special conenctions to get these figs
5) Importers pay import costs, expect RobotKingdom, with is located in Hong Kong, thus the buyer picks up the extra shipping.

So I've outlined why this costs what it does. Where exactly do you get your $12.99 amount from?

He thinks it's just a regular Deluxe-size figure, which costs about $12.99 everywhere I've seen them.

Great points, by the way. I was aware of all that, but in my response to his post I over-generalized.
