The new Camaro is a sad take on the getting old new Mustang.
However this is a great way to unveil it.

they are crazy if they think this movie will draw in more sales...
guys are going to go see this movie...its a guy movie...
no guy will buy a femenine pontiac solstice
now most of the people who are fans of this movie are in thier mid 20's and younger...they MIGHT be attracted to the camero but most of these people are going to be in colledge, or still in highschool and wont be able to afford it
the hummer is an old model..if someone is going to buy a hummer they will buy the newest model..not the outdated one
the topkick is a really nice pick up truck however, pick up trucks are a niche car...people dont grow up and dream of owning a pick up truck...
then we have the mustang..but the mustang is allready a cult car...a movie is not needed to generate a buzz for a car like a mustang..people who would get the mustang would have allready got it...the mustang also falls in the same category as the new camero though...

Wow, by this notion I guess every single foreign sports car is owned by a woman and guys only drive around 1970 Chevelle SSs and Challenger R/Ts. Or trucks. Or A-Team vans

The Mustang is a chick car. really look at them you'd be surprised how many women drive em. and the Solstice seems to be the new car of the Abercrombie & Fitch douchebaggery. But movies have been used to sell all sorts of things so in movie where cars are stars you know they are going to go for the sell my major gripe is they only used one major car Manufacturer. While GM is a nice there not really on the Fore front of Exotic Car production

good point about the mustang..you're right..i only know one guy who owns a mustang..and actually he sold it..to a girl! lol..never really noticed that before though.
and you're right about the GM statement, i understand why the american movie has american cars but really wish they had more variety..they've limited themselves, hopefully the next installments will have more makes and models...

Since the new stang came out ive wanted one. But because of this movie i know what color and extras i want for it. And it would be a cobra or rouche(dont know if i spelt his name right) not a saleen. If i was to get another pick up it wold be a ford f150 or a dodge ram. A truck that people know and have hears is good. This movie isnt going to help sales for any of the brands. People might say i want a car that looks like that but once they get to the lot they will find something they like a hell of a lot more. And with they way things are going in this world these days people arent buying as many new cars as they use too. And the solstice is being used for GT and La Mans racing. Was watching a race today and all they were advertiseing was the solstice race teams. Red Bull has one and the other is just a Yellow one used for GT raceing. Watch after we say all this we'll fnd out that car sales whent up after the movie came out.

Hey, I resent that. I happen to like the new Mustang, and if I had the cash, I'd own one. And as far as Mustangs go around me, I'd say it's 50/50 between men and women driving 'em.
All of that said, I really like the new Camero as well. Too bad I will never own one of those as well.

An interesting read! I'm not really in the know on cars, but I wouldn't mind owning a Camero one day (yeah, right
). Anyway, I wish they would've used a Chevy Trailblazer as either Brawn or Trailbreaker. Oh well, maybe in a sequel (or a kitbash)...

resent it o not its the truth I test drove one If you taller then 5'8 don't expect to be comfortable, that goes double for anyone unlucky enough to be in your back seat. Other then teens, from what I've seen and known there mostly owned by women.

Um, the mustang came out about a couple years before the camaro and it was the mustang that created the pony car segment. The new mustangs harken back to the 67-68ish years of the mustangs while the new camaro goes back to 68 model year i believe.

"Camaros, which originated as a competitor to Ford's Mustang, were sold in the U.S. from 1967 to 2002" That explains why Bumblebee is a rival to Barricade.

solstice's arent very expensive at all...in convertible terms anyways, you can get a base model for around 21k MSRP..
seriously though, i would go with the saturn sky before the solstice though
