Seibertron.com member Albastross250 has let us know about some new stock photography from Takara Tomy, originally posted to the Transformers Never Die Facebook page. The images are of the upcoming Transformers: SIEGE Commander Class Jetfire and Deluxe Class Weaponizer Brunt! The pictures show off each figure in various configurations, a theme common to the SIEGE line.

We get some good shots of Jetfire in alt mode and standard robot mode (the G1 cartoon character model) and his "super mode" featuring add-on weapons and armor pieces that make him look more like his G1 toy self. There are two interesting points we learn here. The battle damage, which was hard to see on the at-show samples at Wonderfest recently, is definitely still there, featuring a "dirt wash" on the robot mode from the waist downward. Second, Jetfire is sporting a Decepticon faction logo on his chest in robot mode. It's unclear if this is an optional sticker that has been applied, if there is a faction symbol changing gimmick built into the toy, or if this is a change made by Takara Tomy and/or Hasbro. Of note, all other faction logos associated with this Jetfire toy are the Autobot brand.

Brunt is a little more straight forward. We see him in both altmode and robot mode, as well as disassembled into his component parts. SIEGE Deluxe Class Skytread (a.k.a., Flywheels) is used to demonstrate some possible configurations for outfitting your SIEGE figures with weapons, armor, and other gear provided by Brunt. One change we've seen with these pictures, however, is the lack of orange plastic or paint on the tank cannon that was seen in earlier renderings of this character.

Finally, we also have a bit of information from Loopaza Mega Store on when these figures will be hitting the Japanese market. They are slated, apparently, for a June 2019 release at a price of 3,500 JPY for Brunt and 18,000 JPY for Jetfire. Take a look at the pictures and these listings for yourselves below!

Can I say that I honestly love that Brunt's head is peering out over the lip of his alt mode. It's so amazingly silly that this alone may have sold me on this guy.

Jetfire continues to be fantastic. I love that they gave his gun a central handle instead of just having him hold one of the two regular handles. Brunt looks good, but I think I'm just going to get one.

Up till now the prices for Siege had been more or less the same between Hasbro and Takara. But TT's Skyfire is significantly pricier (and I mean after the 30% discount,) any reason for that? As far as I know "brand unification" is still a thing.
Does the Hasbro release have a date yet?

Skyfire's price should still be between Leader and Titan, as he's the first of a new Size Class called Commander.

SIEGE COMMANDER CLASS JETFIRE

Japan actually gets him first? (I still don't have Prime, Megatorn, Ultra Magnus, Cog and Skytread from Takara. )

But why is Hasbro's $80 and Takara's (after the 30% off) about $114?

I had to go back and look - 7/2019 correct? Has Hasbro been releasing Siege figures first?

That seems criminal ;)

Seems like a good bit of difference, maybe only the Tak version will have the flip flop faction change option :-? I'm kidding

Glad to see they added a panel that lets you switch his faction symbol, definitely a wonderful addition. Loving the flame effects for the boosters as well, Can't wait for this guy, definitely showing that he's worth the asking price.

I know you were kidding, but I was wondering about that. TT also showed him with jet effects. (But brand unification probably still decrees they have the same features...)

Those were not stickers in Jetfire. those are painted on tamographs, and also it will be fun since you can flip it with the chest which side you want him to do, but originally he's a :CON: in the first place. :-D

It hasn't been, that's why I'm skeptical. To know for 100% we need to see stock images of the effect in action (or in hand photos). If its true then, good if not then its no loss really.

I'm starting to lean on stickers or in a bizarre move, he's permanently a Decepticon in nekked bot mode and becomes an Autobot when he suits up.

In some of the Tak pics he's repping both factions in combined alt mode.

I need to buy a billion Brunts as my Decepticon grunts (heh Brunt...Grunt heh heh heh)

Sort of what I did with on sale Hasbro TR Hardheads as my Autotrooper marines (Takara Hardhead is a captain among them)

Think I might get a few Six Guns for the same reason, just give me more generic looking characters please.

You can very clearly see a gap where the panel flips around between the 2 faction symbols. That and hasbro already said this line has no stickers last toy fair.

I'm happy with my T30 Jetfire, but glad for those who are going to look forward to picking up this one.

Brunt looks great- I hope we get more Decepticon Weaponizers, but Fasttrack is the only one I can think of who could be done in that style who was a G1 character (or included with one).

Guys... I think that symbol is molded in. As for detecting "gaps", around the symbol one line seems to be deeper than it should be, but the lighting really is making things hard to see.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm still amazed his backpack/jet camper shell.... is still a mystery to us all. It can't just be a big hollow lump of plastic... can it?

Also curious about all the panel lines on the back of his legs... that's a *lot* of eluded to missile hatches....

My main question would have to be will we ever see an MP Jetfire or is this supposed to be the closes we'll ever see of such a figure? I'm just scared because it seems as though at the prices that Takara seems determined to set, a real MP Jetfire would be like a thousand dollars or something insane like that....

I'd be ecstatic if they made a Jetfire that is around the same dimensions as MP Ultra Magnus and had a similar price point, but I guess that's wishful thinking.

Dunno about Takara's future Masterpiece plans. At the moment they seem focused on remaking older figures, and completing the rest of the cars. But they could surprise!

Hasbro stated that Siege Skyfire stands at 11 inches in robot-mode (I assume they measured with the backpack,) that's about MP Ultra Magnus' height.

Of course he'll be more expensive than a leader. But not priced like a freaking TITAN.

I left my sentence uncompleted before posting, ugh me, sorry about that.

I meant to say something about Jetfire being more expensive than a Titan.

For what it's worth he's like 30-50 dollars less then a Titan I think from where I am in Canada, can't remember if Titans here are 130 or 150 Cad.

That's the button that triggers the gimmick change insignias for :BOT: and :CON: perspectively, but i remember you need to open the cockpit before pressing it, pressing that one will trigger to flip the :BOT: into :CON: or vice versa

You can very clearly see a gap where the panel flips around between the 2 faction symbols. That and hasbro already said this line has no stickers last toy fair.

They never said that. They said they heard the complaints towards stickers. That doesnt mean we have seen an end to them.

My point about the very noticeable gap still stands.

You talking about the grooves and greeble this entire line is known for having?

Guys... I think that symbol is molded in. As for detecting "gaps", around the symbol one line seems to be deeper than it should be, but the lighting really is making things hard to see.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

That's the button that triggers the gimmick change insignias for :BOT: and :CON: perspectively, but i remember you need to open the cockpit before pressing it, pressing that one will trigger to flip the :BOT: into :CON: or vice versa

Where are you puling any of this crap from? how do you 'remember' anything about a gimmick that's not been shown off or even confirmed to exist? If you actually know something, it should maybe be news'ed, otherwise it's just speculation at best

What do you mean "I remember"? That gimmick hasn't been shown off, as if it had we wouldn't be talking about its existence as a question.

Cyberpath wrote:Hasbro stated that Siege Skyfire stands at 11 inches in robot-mode (I assume they measured with the backpack,) that's about MP Ultra Magnus' height.

While Takara Tomy has him listed at 300mm or 11.81 inches so I'm thinking Hasbro measured to the top of his head and TT went to the top of the backpack.

We don't even have proof that the cockpit can open, let alone any type of symbol gimmick. Though I do agree with JelZe that the symbols, both the Autobot and Decepticon ones we've seen do look raised and there's definitely a deeper outline around the symbol than the rest of the panel lines.

Is anyone else slightly hesitant to get Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp in this line because, unlike pretty much every other character in the line that normally has an Earth mode, their "Cybertronian" vehicle mode can't so easily pass as an Earth mode? As good as Starscream looks, I'm kinda hoping that in the lines after this the mold gets retooled/this mold's engineering/robotmode sculpt gets reused in a new mold to have an Earth jet mode, and we not only get Thundercracker and Skywarp again, but we also get Dirge, Ramjet, Thrust, and other seekers, because as much as I would like to have Tetrajet seekers, I'm not entirely sure if I can justify having both Tetrajet seekers and Earth jet seekers in my collection if they do end up doing Earth jet seekers later on (more for space/budgetary reasons than for "logic" reasons or anything like that).

Broadside looks pretty small here compared Snarl since everyone is standing on top of each other's feet. I don't really get the sense that's he's incredibly tall in bot mode, he looks like he'd be about Grimlock's height or so.

Image

Also IDW tended to be inconsistent at times with bot sizes. Here's Broadside just a little bigger than Grotusque who's just a little bigger than Hot Spot.
