They should have given Brawn claws if they really wanted to make him "retro".

Looks like the budget of the line only allowed a new head. Still, let's hope someone will think about making a claws upgrade kit.

Maybe for the crossover when they can put him in two-pack with Wolverine!

Got the email that my Top Spin and Spinister box has been dispatched. Rather looking forward to them.

Got both Seaspray & Brawn delivered the other day. Both are really nice toys. I think I like Seaspray a bit better because it's less hollow and deco is on point and I only have a few details I feel needed to paint on. However, the plastics on Seaspray are the more flexible type and nothing tabs tight except the back panel, the saving grace is all the joints are super tight though. Must get.

Initially only wanted the new non-car minibots (Warpath, Cosmos, Seaspray & Powerglide). But after getting the Retro Trio, now I wonder if I should chase down Beachcomber and upgrade all the rest my car minibots too.

You should.
All of the deluxe minibots are worth it. Even if he's the weakest of them, try to also get Huffer.

I have no real interest in toy Brawn, and the Seaspray is cool looking, but I am happy with my TR one for now.

I got the Target Perceptor and Devastation pack (I am calling them Blackout and Runaround).

Perceptor is neat enough, but I am glad to have Ramhorn.

The Devastation guys are wonderful, the orange cell shading really does it for them. That orange is why I decided to jump actually.

I also got my Sideways and Excellion, both are real neat, and I don't own an OG Sideways, so nice to have one in the house.

At first, I too, bought the boxset only for Ramhorn. Then I noticed that Ratbat was actually "complete" with his jetpack. Plus this Perceptor got some GAINS compared to the previous SS86 original.

I could care less for the Perceptor, I got his mold in the black colors and TR still reigns supreme for me

Legacy Magnificus is indeed... magnifique, especially with the Reprolabels set.

For me, and the majority of people, the SS86 / PotP Perceptor is the "superior" one. And thanks to that, I could get back the still very solid Titan Return one for the price of a Core Class figure. I love how they all look together.

I took pictures some months ago, but I never managed to make the post, so might as well do it now. (Magnificus not present on the pictures)

All the Generations / G1 Perceptors so far:

The TR makes the best "tank" vehicle.

And bonus, the old RTS car in "microscope" mode:

Oh? I wonder how that Wheelie will turn out?

Luckily I don't need these two, was never into Outback and that Wheelie is too tall. He should be shorter than Bumblebee about the same height as a Human like Spike. The Core Class version works just fine for me and was less than half the price.

Also, what is it with them doing new molds for Exclusives lately. Usually they're repaints.

Is the core class the same as the one that appeared with leader class Grimlock?
Thanks in advance.

Far from it. Core Wheelie is a proper Transformers. A bit flawed, but still good. The Wheelie that come with the SS86 Grimlock is just an accessory that can barely pose, cannot transform, and is hollow all over.

Wheelie appreciate the response.

Here's the latest 5 pack of Swapticons!

This new set contain Camotimus and Hound, Ramjet and Sandstorm, and G1 Scorponok.

Image

Camotimus and Hound are straight repaints of the previous Optimus and Ultra-Magnus. They are fine.

Next is a pair of new molds, Ramjet and Sandstorm. Sandstorm have his jet nose detached in box so, don't forget to snap in the part! They are great.

And finally Scorponok, the G1 version, all by his lonesome.... That is, unless you have the Beast Wars Scorponok that came from the previous 5 pack. Both together are awesome and the pair is brilliant.

At 25$CAN, the set is well worth it.
Walmart exclusive, of course.
