According to Nelson from Michael Bay's blog Shoot for the Edit Jablonsky will not be alone, with the band Linkin Park also working on the score. Linkin Park have previously worked on the first Transformers live action film Official Soundtrack
Nelson also mentions that a limited edition signed movie tie-in book may be in the works for a holiday season release. This book would be a behind the scenes style book showcasing the work of the designers and effects teams.

Definetly great news, Jablonsky's score for TF1 was just perfect! I look forward to hearing how ROTF's score might be.

Hurm. Generic music for a generic Hollywood film, it seems. The instantly-forgettable soundtrack added nothing to the last flick.

Great news. I loved the score to the first movie. With Linkin Park again, the music should be very good

Nope, I just have taste, mate.
The music should complement what's on screen, but, like the Iron Man movie, the music wasn't epic enough. It didn't add to the scenes much nor properly capture what was on-screen. I guess I've just been spoiled with the scores of John Williams, Danny Elfman, Harry G. Williams, etc.

Yeah, but I think it kinda fitted for a summer popcorn flick. It wasn't a bad film, however. (I saw five time since it came out). Personally, I was hoping he would come back.
To be honest, a few track where really great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H0JDomv8ac&feature=related

In what seems to be a case of "the more the merrier", it appears that Steve Jablonsky is certainly not alone in creating the movie score for the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen film.
As we reported earlier, it was known that band Linkin Park were contributing at least one song to Jablonsky's movie score.
Thanks to a blog update on MikeShinoda.com it would appear that movie score composer extroadinaire Hans Zimmer is also working on the score.
If the name Zimmer sounds familiar, it's probably because he has worked on the score for some of the more financially successful films released in the past few years including, and not restricted to: Batman Begins and Batman: The Dark Knight, Kung Fu Panda, the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels, as well as Gladiator.
This will not be the first time that Zimmer has created the score for a Michael Bay film, previously working on both The Rock and Pearl harbour's movie scores.

Jablosky's score for TF1 was pretty damn albeit slightly repetitive but Hans Zimmer is just pure awesomeness. With the two working together, I'm going to be in musical heaven watching Transformers Revenge of The Fallen. This could get better, but not by much. If the music gets any better than this, I'll go crazy.

Why does the title of this news story sound like a cereal commercial? It's like advertising something that has an extra ingredient. I don't know, I thought I would point that out. All in all, I just have to say that this is an intriguing prospect, and I can't wait to hear the new score.

At least they are going to use the Mutemath cover of the TF theme song in the end credits this time. Don't quote me on this either, but rumor has it, they will be putting bits of the theme songs tune in the orchestral score. That info came from IMDB so, take it with a grain of salt.
