The good people at the TFAnimated @ Live Journal have posted their full interview with Transformers Animated character Designer Derrick Wyatt.

In the interview, Wyatt discusses the design process of the show, the relationship between the the toys and show characters, mentions a guest voice actor that was "geeked out" over and drops a few more hints at what to expect in Season 3.

Presumably the High Council will consist of *spoilers*

Star Sabre, Dai Atlas and Grandus.

Not sure what I make of those guys as civilians. Being non military bots may make toys for these guys even less likely. There's already 10 new characters (alright, 9 and a familiar face) for season three that need toys plus Arcee, Wheeljack (please, please, please) and the Constructicons (I'll take them in both colours please Hasbro) not to mention Omega. That's already quite a few new moulds needed (presumably to hit after ROTF with the potential for initial pics at Botcon).

Fortunately I've still got a few of the current Animated toys to track down, otherwise it would seem like far far too long until the next Ani fix.

Figures of the SUV and Meltdown and his 'Pretender' goons would be nice too while I'm on a rant.

Sounds like we'll get an explanation for why Prowl, a ninjabot, was working as a maintenance bot fixing space bridges. Looking forward to that!
