Oh my god you have no idea how excited I am about thiiiiiis!
Animated was my second favourite Transformers cartoon just behind Beast Wars - and even then the two are extremely close in quality to the point I often have trouble deciding which one I like more - so the news we're getting more fiction is just so... aaaaah I'm excited hahaha

Please let this be the start of a regular thing! I know it can't, because the club losing their license would disrupt it anyway, but this news gives me hope...

Agree 1000%! As much as I'd like to just move on and enjoy what's come after, the current RID cartoon keeps giving us all these moments where it acts like it wants to be Animated, but can't quite pull it off, making me scream, "Then why not just resurrect Animated?!? You're back on Cartoon Network in the States, the Aligned Continuity experiment has splintered, why not just do another restart that jumps back a few years?"Kurona wrote:Oh my god you have no idea how excited I am about thiiiiiis!Animated was my second favourite Transformers cartoon just behind Beast Wars - and even then the two are extremely close in quality to the point I often have trouble deciding which one I like more - so the news we're getting more fiction is just so... aaaaah I'm excited hahaha

Hopefully the season 4 info will be something in addition to what both the AllSpark Almanac II and The Complete AllSpark Almanac already show and tell us about season 4.
As for the new Animated comic, maybe another season 3.5 thing like "Moving Violations", "The Stunti-Con Job", and "The Return of Blurr" were?

I also think this is very cool. I'd love to here about the cancelled fourth season, I grew up on Animated so the idea of hearing more fiction on it is exciting.

But that'll just make all the Geewunners angry that Hasbro "wasted" a Titan class slot by doing the "WRONG" Omega Supreme.MR Optimus Prime wrote:Then give us a Titan Class Animated Omega Supreme ARK!!!

True, but, then again, neither Titan Metroplex nor Titan Fort Max are properly scaled as citybots either when compared to the other non-Legends size classes. A Titan Animated Omega Supreme would be closer to the proper ship scale in relation to the other non-Legends Animated figures, but a Supreme class figure would indeed be both more manageable and more likely in line with what we would have gotten out of a large Animated Omega Supreme toy back then too.Ultra Markus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:But that'll just make all the Geewunners angry that Hasbro "wasted" a Titan class slot by doing the "WRONG" Omega Supreme.MR Optimus Prime wrote:Then give us a Titan Class Animated Omega Supreme ARK!!!

Lol don't you mean fortunately he is the Magnus?
I for one embrace our mighty chin ruler!
(But no Sentinel is my fave character from Animated and I always felt sorry for him when I was younger and watching the show while it was airing)

As charming/amusing his cartoonishly jerkish attitude could be, someone that unstable isn't the kind of guy you want having that much political power and military control, especially on a planet as weapon-heavy as Cybertron.

You did see how corruptly he went around the Cybertronian government's back and manipulated the military to his own selfish, ego-boosting ends in the third-to-last episode of season 3, didn't you?Deadput wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Unfortunately, Sentinel already officially became Magnus in "The Stunti-Con Job".Microraptor wrote:YES! Never really got into animated. I hear it's a "marmite" show. You either love it or hate is (usually with the opposite being true of the toys. Love the show, hate the figs and vise versus.)
But it's nearly ten years old? Dammit people, stop making me feel old!

That's why he is the best character he does whatever he wants and gets away with it something no Decepticon has really done in a show.
It doesn't matter what Optimus thinks Sentinel is the ultimate winner in the show.

Sentinel may be a glitch-head that we love to hate, but it's because of bots like him that there are other authority figures around him to either keep him in line or call him out on his faults.

Oh, he certainly didn't get away with his reckless actions in that episode. Alpha Trion gave Sentinel a nice firm chastising (even saying that if it were up to Trion, Sentinel would instantly lost his Acting Magnus position) and both Ratchet and Jazz made sure Sentinel never got his mitts on the Magnus Hammer.Deadput wrote:Sabrblade wrote:You did see how corruptly he went around the Cybertronian government's back and manipulated the military to his own selfish, ego-boosting ends in the third-to-last episode of season 3, didn't you?

True but he is still the one who is in power and so far until further media is revealed we is not getting knocked out of power anytime soon.
In the end Sentinel still has things gone his way most of the time.
Sentinel is my third fave Transformers character (behind Cliffjumper and Jazz) so that's why I give the character such praise since I love bad guys who get away with their crimes in shows and such since it takes away satisfaction from other viewers which gives me satisfaction.

Hm.
Going through the club store, I realize that I have not received at least two of this year's issues of the club magazine.
Has anybody started receiving the new one, with the Animated stuff?

Mine arrived a while back. But I didn't read it until more recently because I wanted to wait until I had first finished reading the most recent OMAM prose story since that story leads into the comic story of the latest magazine issue.RNSrobot wrote:Hm.
