This also means that Netflix isn't producing a Transformers Legacy cartoon for now.

Netflix didn't produce War For Cybertron Trilogy, either. They just streamed it.TulioDude wrote:This also means that Netflix isn't producing a Transformers Legacy cartoon for now.

I imagine that part of the budget that Rooster Teeth used was from the Netflix exclusivity.

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 22, 2022) - Hasbro’s entertainment studio, eOne, and Netflix launch TRANSFORMERS: BOTBOTS, the first ever comedy series in the beloved TRANSFORMERS franchise, set to premiere on March 25, 2022 on Netflix with 10, twenty-two minute episodes.
TRANSFORMERS: BOTBOTS is an animated series, full of high energy humor that will delight kids, transporting the next generation of viewers into a brand new world of mischievous little ‘bots. When a mall is hit with Energon, everyday objects from the food court, the hardware store and other locations spring to life and convert into tiny Transformers robots called BotBots.
This series offers a little something for everyone as BotBots come in a wide and unique range of hysterical characters, who are the epitome of… MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE. They formed squads based on the store they came from, but not every ‘bot was in their correct store when they came to life. By day, these BotBots hide quietly on mall store shelves but at night, they jump headfirst into adventure until a misfit group of BotBots called ‘The Lost Bots’ run into the mall security guard and put all the ‘bots in danger. Will these zany ‘bots be able to overcome their differences, defeat the security guard and gain acceptance with the other ‘bots? The entire family will enjoy this hilarious new series that is silly, wacky, and fun!
Executive produced by Kevin Burke and Chris “Doc” Wyatt (Spider-Man, Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy, Stretch Armstrong & the Flex Fighters) they also serve as showrunners on the series.
You can even check out (region locked) clips below along with the image released.

We got some news on the voice director and voice cast, and this time, it's another new talent pool never before used in Transformers: the Toronto voice acting pool.
Alyson Court (Jubilee from the 90s X-Men cartoon, Loonette the Clown from The Big Comfy Couch, Emily Elizabeth from the 1988 Clifford's Fun With... video series, Claire Redfield in four of the Resident Evil video games, and much more) is confirmed to be the voice director, and has announced that some of the voice cast are James Hartnett, Joseph Motiki, Josette Jorge, Devon Mack, Louisa Zhu, and two others named "Lisa" and "Christian" (Court doesn't give their surnames).
Kevin Burke and Chris "Doc" Wyatt are also confirmed as crew members.

Here's the trailer that's the talk of the community at the moment. It's for the new BotBots show coming out next month on Netflix. As you can see in the trailer, the show really commits to the lore brought on by the toyline, with the idea of different tribes and it stars the lost Bots. You will see that several different animation techniques are blended together similarly to the beloved World of Gumball show. So far, the trailer seems to have redeemed a lot of fears fans had but let us know if you feel the same.
Also, interesting to see that Pizza vehicle in action in the trailer. Hopefully that means it will finally be coming out (image below).

It probably isn't him, what with the show being voiced in Toronto and all, but the security guard's voice sounds an awful lot like Ian James Corlett.

This seems like the kind of show to seem cheesy at-a-glance, but is a little weightier than the trailer implies Also, why is the voice acting in this better than all of the WFC cartoons combined? Like there’s actual effort or something

It's a different talent pool of Toronto voice actors and a different voice director. A different team of different people altogether. Expect it to be a voice cast of people who have never been in a Transformers cartoon before, as Transformers has never been voiced in Toronto before.Stormshot_Prime wrote:This seems like the kind of show to seem cheesy at-a-glance, but is a little weightier than the trailer implies Also, why is the voice acting in this better than all of the WFC cartoons combined?
