Nice choice of scenes. I would have liked to see Optimus fight shockwave one-on-one and Meg's to have put up a fight but I guess you can't have everything you want...

In Movie 1, the Decepticons are supposedly surrounded by a "weird aura" like a "force field" and nothing the humans do even scratches them until they use those "high heat magnesium sabot rounds" or whatever they called it. Then suddenly in Movie 2 and 3, the bots are as fragile as glass. One car hits him and Hatchet's head falls off and he shatters into a million pieces? A lot of talent got wasted on this silliness.

Remember when Devastator showed up in G1? How long did his badassery really last? It's the golden rule. You're only though the first time 'round.
Except for Liokaiser.

Well.. Fort Max was pretty much untouchable until Roche and Roberts had Overlord work him over in LSOTW. Still, he had what? a 20 year streak of pure win? Not too shabby.

The difference is that in movie 1 was humans against Transformers and in 3,it was Dino that threw Hatchet.

I just started assuming that between TF and ROTF, NEST started outfitting all their weapons with said high-heat sabot rounds, hence the damage they can cause towards the Cons.

That makes sense to me. In the first movie they were unprepared. RotF was 2 years later and they were specifically targeting Decepticons. Of course they would have gotten equipped for the task.
