well its about damn time!

with the first movie, Michael Bay posted early some artwork of the bos and cons... with the heavy bad comments, he was forced to change some features, especially with Megatron.

thatts why we dont see early new concepts. he want to make sure his work is too advanced to make changes...

It usually works like this:

Super Bowl spot @ 30-45 seconds.
Teaser containing double the running time @ 60-90 seconds.
Full trailer running about 2.5-3 minutes.
Possible extra trailer with very small tidbits not shown prior, or shown in a different sequence.

Either way, before June comes, we'll have a teaser and a full trailer and before you know it, the movie will be here.

I mean, we're already heading to the midpoint of February. Spring is soon upon us in March and June will be blazing past us like a blur.

Man, you aren't lying. Last year freaking flew by like it was no one's business, and the fact we're already at mid February?!? Are you kidding me? Wasn't NYE last week? I can't believe it!

I can't wait to see this new movie. I am almost as excited about this one as I was for the first one. There's just a renewed feeling about it with the new cast (bye bye Shia, don't let the door hit ya!) ... Plus, you know... Mother F'in Grimlock! :grin:

I would probably guess the trailer will get released with the Need for Speed or Captain America: The Winter Soldier movies.Those would be the next two big releases coming to theaters.

Actually for the last movie we received the teaser in December (the one where they showed Sentinal in the ship) then the super bowl spot, then the Nascar TV trailer, then a full trailer (and that was in April).

Hopefully they just skip the whole teaser trailer and go straight to the full blown theater trailer.

Take it with a grain of salt, but comicmovie.com has posted up a description for what they claim to be the upcoming theatrical trailer for TF: AOE.

Again, take all this with a grain of salt as even the writer of the article can not confirm this. Sounds cool, but it also seems very detailed for a quick glimpse.

-We fade in. Were in space. Calm as it can be. Before we know it, literally dozens of battle ships are approaching as what to be seen in the distance... EARTH.

In the midst of all this, we hear a V.O.

"Optimus Prime..."

-A large battle ship, bigger than the others, hovers over earth.

"You've been on Earth long enough to hear the saying, you can run but you can't hide"

-A LARGE BADASS looking robot (Lockdown?) exits the ship. He stares down Earth from above before these jet-type things come from his back and jumps off, falling down towards Earth at a rapid speed

-Cut to the robot landing on Earth. Crashing into the concrete. So hard that it creates a shock wave miles ahead. The concrete cracks and splits all the way to a farm, where a gang of autobots are surrounding Cade, Tessa, and Shane.

-Optimus looks at the ground, than ahead...

"They have arrived"

-Lockdown, and his badass ship behind him, walks towards Lockdown.

-Optimus tells an autobot to get the three out of here (Cade, Shane, and Tessa), and the autobot tuns into a race car.

-Lockdown face turns into a gun and he shoots it at Optimus.

-Optimus goes down and...

-Cut to the Paramount pictures logo

*Note, that is all like the first 37 seconds*

-We pan over the city of Chicago, where several posters showing the discrimination towards Transformers are displayed in quick flashes. We hear a voice-over, similar to Kelsey Grammar

"We always knew they would return... We just never knew when"

-Cut to facility where hundreds of transformers are being manufactured.

"And they couldn't have picked a better time"

-A title smashes onto screen, "THIS SUMMER"

-We see a shot of Cade face to face with Harold Attinger, (Kelsey Grammar)

Cade-"What do you plan to do?"

-Cut to several Transformers looking beat, weakened, and or destroyed.

"Give them a blessing... An ending to their ever lasting struggles..."

-Cut back to Cade and Harold face to face. Harold, without hesitation, without blinking, he says in the most calm, disturbing voice;

"Their Extinction"

-A tile smashes on the screen "Prepare Yourself"

-This is where the montage of awesome stuff happens. Although my brother didn't give me every single detail, here are the highlights (In order)

• Cade, Tessa, and Shane are all running from a huge battle taking place behind them

• Smash title "For Extinction"

• A decepticon corners Tessa nears a car where he proceeds to pick her up. Following that is Cade yelling "Tessa!!"

• A bunch of helicopters are chasing after the car we saw Cade, Tessa, and Shane get in earlier in the trailer. But... a huge decepticon rises from the ocean/lake next to the highway, and throws a large abandon ship onto the highway causing bridges to collapse.

• Bumblebee burst through a building, literally, and retrieves Cade and Shane wile sliding down the other side of the building.

• A shot of Cade holding this cybertonian artifact. (Can't describe it, but it's really gnarly looking and it's described as being a "compass" type thing)

Cade says something like "This has to lead to something"

-Cut to black. We hear a voice-over from OP

"It can't be"

-We cut to OP inside this cybernetic, futuristic cave type things. We fade in and out but then we the picture stand still. OP looks down and sees about 5 HUGE looking autobots.

-Flashes of the 5 autobots awakening... and transforming... and literally TOWERING over OP. (Think Kevin Hart next to Yao Ming)

-We cut to black and we hear a growling, raspy, ROAR! Grimlock baby.

-And now the money shot. We see a bunch of traffic on the main street of Hong Kong. A sort of bump is heard. It grows louder and louder. People exit their taxis and cars. They look behind them. The bump grows louder. So loud and strong that cars are subtlety jumping and people are rocking. People look... They start to scream... They run away...

IN THE DISTANCE, GRIMLOCK (RODE ON BY OPTIMUS), STRAFE (RODE ON BY BUMBLEBEE), SLAG, SLUDGE, AND SNARL, CAUSING A STAMPEDE AND CHARGING TOWARDS THE CAMERA (Minus Strafe who's flying).

Seibertron.com user 5150 Cruiser has spotted a potentially spoilerful post over on entertainment and comics news site ComicBookMovie. The author has allegedly reliable information on the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction trailer, said to debut soon, via his brother who 'works in the "industry" and always gives [...] good stuff'.

The description, if correct, is packed with spoilers (not necessarily of the plot itself, but of the trailer) and this may be debunked once it actually airs, but don't say we haven't warned you! Very interesting indeed. I wonder if the five huge Autobots are the Dinobots or something else, like the Guardians of Cybertron, perhaps? I also wonder what Optimus is seeing when he says "It can't be." Could he be seeing Galvatron for the first time? It could be anything.

Well there are some visual differences between the two. Strafe has 3 claws on his dino hand and the way his head crest leads to the front of his beak look different than the one in that picture.

Now are the Dinobots (if that's still what their called in the Bay-verse) supposed to be in scale with actual Dinosaurs like on the G1 cartoon? If that's the case shouldn't they be smaller. Their pretty big if a 2 story tall autobot can ride them into battle

I don't think Lockdown is THAT big, considering that we wasn't so massive by cons standards in Animated, I don't think it's him. I belive that big guy that turture Optimus in teaser could be real Galvatron.

It's interesting how popular (and fun) is WMG about Movie that is still in made :lol:

So happy to hear that lockdown is in this. First noticed the tie in when those toy fair photos were posted, and am curious to know if he will be a bounty hunter, ala Animated, as I loved his "Man with No Name (Blondie)" poncho Spaghetti Western poncho/attitude. Perhaps he is hunting a bounty and tracks it to Earth, were so much more develops.... For as lame as this all felt when details first leaked on the film months ago, I have to admit, it's sounding better and better. Perhaps this film will provide a fresh start for the franchise? :-?

We have some new details regarding the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction theatrical trailer thanks to Alberta Film Ratings and the Ontario Film Review Board, nothing spoiler-ish just technical info. The trailer clocks in at 2 minutes 22 seconds, and is rated PG. We also have the following description regarding content:

- Occasional use of words such as darn, damn, hell
- Scenes that may cause a child brief anxiety, or fear
- Restrained portrayals of non-graphic violence

The question of which movie will debut the trailer remains unanswered. If earlier hints from Shoot for the Edit admin nelson prove to be accurate the trailer could be hitting theaters very soon.

Entertainment news website Entertainment Tonight has uploaded a fairly lengthy video, roudning up its news about gossip and facts from celebrity and movie worlds. Why is this of importance to us? They teased, with parts of the Super Bowl trailer, a glimpse at the theatrical trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction, due to air on Tuesday. How much will they show? We'll find out next week! I'm hate to say it, but this is exactly how ROTF started. We have great trailers for both RotF and DotM, movies on the other hand...

We know that a trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction may be surfacing this Tuesday, but in preparation to that, Yahoo! Movies have posted a new promotional poster for the film, featuring Mark Wahlberg's character Cade Yaeger. He appears to be holding the gun/sword we saw quite a while back, with one of the ships seen in the teaser trailer hovering behind him, and a new tagline: The Rules Have Changed. Check it out below!

UPDATE: The trailer will definitely appear tomorrow, as the Shoot4theEdit Twitter account confirmed earlier today.

We now have a second Transformers: Age of Extinction poster featuring newcomer Jack Reynor. Like the previously revealed Mark Wahlberg/Cade Yeager this one also features the tagline the "The Rules Have Changed". Reynor will be portraying Shane Dyson, a race car driver and love interest for Yeager's daughter Tessa (Nicola Peltz).
