Many fans are waiting to see what this year's Studio Series commander class Optimus Prime will look like. It is supposed to be the most G1 cartoon accurate Prime we've ever gotten in the generations line. And a photo of an Optimus Prime figure playing the piano may be our very first look at it. It surfaced on Baidu and since then has been deleted. While we do not get the whole package, we see the base figure of Optimus, which is supposed to be the same size as commander Rodimus Prime. It indeed looks very G1 accurate, with the white pelvis and thighs. The more accurate chest does mean that there is a lot of kibble to hide and it ends up on his back, though we do not know if the back section is properly transformed or not.

He certainly looks like a mini MP-44 like some people have predicted. Overall looks good, but I look forward to the official reveal. Might wait for the inevitable Nemesis repaint, he would look good in this mold

Yeah, by doing this figure Hasbro has locked up the Commander class for the next dozen years with repaints of Nemesis, Shattered GLass, Dead Optimus, Toy Accurate Optimus, Random Neon Optimus, reissued SS86 Optimus, reissued Nemesis...

This is not ss86! It's just a 4th party mp44 ko! I got my hopes up there for a minute. The legs are the giveaway, not to mention the backpack.

It's a small thing, but the smokestacks not being centered on the shoulders bothers me. At 1st I thought it was a mistransformation, but it looks like that's how they are.

Hopefully we get official images soon so we can see proper details and dimensions. I don't think calling this a "mini-MP-44" is accurate, it can't be much shorter than that figure.

The headsculpt on both of those is different from the leaked picture
Backpacks are different too
So are the forearms
The legs are also clearly different

Did you send us the wrong picture by accident?

The whole lower leg looks different. That's nowhere near the same.

It would kinda fit into the 13 Primes theme, as Maccadam himself was one of them. Alchemist, I believe.

Doesn't scream a "Must Have!!!" but none of my OPs come with a Roller except the really old Hybrid Style THS-02 G1 Convoy, so I guess I can't escape SS86 if it's the complete package. I repainted my Siege version into Nemesis Prime colors, I guess I can finally have a Shattered Glass Optimus from repainting my Earthrise version after having SS86.

Amazon.de uploaded some very interesting images. They are the stock images of Studio Series 86 Optimus Prime. He will be voyager sized, like Commander Class Rodimus, but with a trailer, Roller, and plenty of accessories.

He should be officially revealed at SDCC. Let us know what you think.

Not bad. No shots from the back, to hide the backpack I guess. The truck mode looks too simple, like an enlarged core class figure.

I won't be getting this, to me it's not better than ER, and I already preordered the 3-pack with Jazz and Mainframe. That Prime looks way better. But I'm glad we have yet another option for Prime collectors.

Bring on Megatron.

Beautiful!!! A must have for me. The trailer looks VERY good with a lot of room for other vehicles. No battle Axe but that's my only gripe. Independent fingers, the feet and heel spurts look amazingly good. I truly hope this is released this year... and now I am ready to see what happens with Megatron.
