Posted by LOST Cybertronian Apr 30, 2013 at 7:50pm CDT 24,626 views
There is no need to run all over town trying to locate the new Generations Legends Class Optimus Prime with Roller and Bumblebee with Blazemaster. Amazon has the hook up available to order right now.

If you do however see these figures where you shop, let everybody know about it with our Transformers Sightings pages. You can help get the word out for Optimus Prime here or Bumblebee here. You could also report your new sighting in our Toy Sightings Forum. It couldn't be easier.

Hey Amazon how about you get Springer and Blitzwing on your site. I want the Amazon price for them instead of the scalpers on Amazon charging over 40 bucks for him.

Springer is taking way to long to comeout.

Awesome! Now as long as they haven't sold out by payday I will be happy. I will probably grab something else with the same order to go over $25 and qualify for the free super saver shipping. It will be nice to finally find something easily soon after retail release instead of hunting all over.

The trick with Amazon is having Amazon Prime. Free 2 day shipping makes these $11.99 a piece shipped. Not bad!

I find it odd that Amazon's Transformer prices tend to be high (and I'm not counting those 'fulfilled by Amazon' items.) I have a feeling that these will be 9.99 to 10.99 at the big box stores. Still worth it since I won't have to pay sales tax and gas, along with having Amazon Prime.

I wouldn't worry about the price gouging going on with Springer and Blitzwing. The way we're getting carpet bombed with them here in Michigan, I'm sure they'll be seeing mass release. (We're never that lucky here in the Wolverine state.)

Meh, I'll wait till they come to retail. This whole internet sales tax pushed by Amazon made me cancel my amazon prime account.

I do not know how I missed out on this post. I just popped over to Amazon for Prime and Bumblebee, but they also have the next Deluve Wave of Beast Hunters and I also picked up Skystalker for the free shipping. I know the prices are a little higher but do not have to worry about shipping or sales tax here in Illinois yet. The bonus is that I have an Amazon credit card that pays triple points on Amazon purchases. I bought a Mac Book Pro a month and a half ago (paid off sum immediately for the points)...that gave me enough points to pick up all 3 of these figures for $3.07 shipped :x . I'll take it!! :BOT:

I tell ya, if you're willing to look and hustle there are some great deals out there. Ebates gives you cash back on Amazon now in the toy section, add in the cash back from pay pal and that covers the tax right there. I had a $5 Amazon gift card laying around from Swagbucks and I paid under $10 each.

And if you have an Amazon VISA card like me, you earn rewards points. I ordered Takara "Cyrus" Breakdown from a third-party vendor on Amazon and used my accumulated points to pay for it. (It was only $39.99 plus shipping!)

Grant Bosse: Internet sales tax protects Amazon from the next Amazon

Some of those businesses are eager to face those higher costs. Online giant Amazon.com is pushing for the internet sales tax. It can track state and local tax codes and automatically charge the current tax rate based on the delivery ZIP code. But smaller companies looking to challenge Amazon’s hegemony would have a hard time complying. Higher taxes and complicated bureaucracy isn’t a threat to Amazon, but it might keep the next threat to Amazon from starting up.

At National Review, Kevin Williamson writes about the distinction between being for big business and being for free enterprise. Big business loves big government. It’s smaller, nimbler businesses they fear. Forcing a cumbersome sales tax bureaucracy on their would-be rivals puts them at a huge competitive advantage.

I know in Pennsylvania at least, before amazon started to, you were supposed to keep track of your own online transactions and pay the appropriate taxes. So I still don't see how amazon can be blamed for anything.

Alex, you do realize that they only plan to charge you the same sales tax you would pay at retail in your state (and which you are legally required to pay)? So how is it better to "wait until retail"? It'll take longer, you'll pay the same price, and you run the risk of not being able to find what you want. Or you can order now, pay the same price, and not worry about finding it later. It sounds like you're cutting off your nose to spite your face.

You're blaming Amazon for not letting you get away with avoiding sales tax, and then saying you'd rather go to a store and pay the sales tax you're upset about Amazon charging. 8-}

I don't know anyone that wants to pay additional (sales tax) on top of a purchase plus shipping. I am just being a resourceful consumer and looking at better options than Amazon for my purchases, like eBay where private sellers can sell me an item at less than what Amazon is offering. My main draw for going to Amazon in the past was no tax and sometimes free shipping. With that gone I am looking at other options to save money even if takes me longer to get a certain item. Currently, my purchase for TF come from eBay where I can get really great deals, and for the time being no tax.

Millions of people do it every day. We pay for the convenience and the certainty of getting what we want without having to use our time and gas driving to stores.

Plus, I never pay shipping at Amazon.

It sounds to me like you're acting emotionally, not rationally.
