Transformers: Matrix of Leadership G1 cartoon set now just $86.99 at Amazon.com

I knew I should have waited. I paid Shout! factory prices. Oh well. I sold my Rhino versions for about what I paid so I'm okay with it.

Wal-Mart has had this on sale for several weeks, too. I ordered mine from them when the price dropped to $110, then when it dropped again, I ordered it again and returned the one I bought at $110. I bought from them rather than Amazon because I had gift cards from previous Transformers purchases and a friend, so in all I paid about $60 after deducting those.

The Shout! Factory set actually has much better special features and less errors, especially on the earlier seasons.

I got my set a few months ago at Best Buy (in-store) and forget exactly how much I paid for it. I think it was around $130 before tax. I have no regrets getting about missing the sale, if anything I wish I would have gotten it last summer when it first came out.

I bought some of them as they dvd's were being release at about $50 I think but fell behind towards the end. Then I discovered Ebay and bought the rest about $80 each set. Don't regret buying those. But after buying volumes of anime only to see a BOX SET released in a smaller and less expensive set, I now just wait for sets to be sold instead.

I think once I get this set, I'll sell the Rhino set.

the rhino sets were almost 100$ each when they first came out here in canada. i think it was partly because they were hard to find so HMV racked up the prices since they were the only ones in my city to sell them and it wasn't even every store either. luckily by the time the 3rd volume came they were a more reasonable price.

of course i went and sold em all for 70$ so i lost a little...although i kept the animation cels and they fit perfectly in the Shout box. lol

i almost forgot to mention the GI Joe set is also on sale for 93.99 from 179.99.
what a deal!
